No brainer. There are some pretty loose shadows (though I’ve discovered with loose colors it’s way too easy to stumble upon dupes) they’re just so much more difficult to work with! Gimme pressed any day :)

  2. Definitely pressed, I am too clumsy to use anything loose!

Didn’t we have this exact poll about a week ago?

  4. Loose so you don’t waste so much if you pick up too much, just tap it back in the jar :)

With the loose I always manage to make a huge mess.

I prefer the ease of pressed shadows when I’m in a hurry. However, I’m one of the seemingly few who truly and dearly LOVE loose shadows! They are such fun to work with, and they’re so pretty to look at. I can see my collection of loose shadows doubling in the next year or two. :)

If I’m applying an eyeshadow wet, I definitely prefer loose, but if it’s just an everyday eyeshadow, pressed is just more convenient and quicker.

Loose shadows are just such a mess sometimes. I sneezed once while holding a pot of loose shadow. The result was a glitter explosion.

i like cream the best actually. but then pressed

  10. I like loose! But pressed is good when you’re applying makeup in the car or traveling 😛

I’m still learning different make-up techniques so right now I actually don’t have a preference. As long as the colors blend, it doesn’t seem to matter too much if they are loose or pressed. I’ve learned it’s all about the brush you use.

Pressed for sure! I’m such a klutz, I leave a huge mess on my dressing table whenever I use loose e/s or pigments. Therefore, every single loose products I have (except the loose powder), I pressed them.

Pressed just for the convenience of it.

Depends, if I want something that’ll go on easier and maybe not pack such a “punch”, I’ll go pressed. It’s fail-proof (for the most part) and quick. But if I’m going all out and want to really shine/shimmer/sparkle then it’s loose all the way. Indie retailers like Fyrinnae make the most amazing loose powders that beat the ass of any pressed powder company out there. I’ve got a ton of shadows from all across the board, UD, MAC, Armani, Chanel, etc… and they just can’t compare in complexity and beauty to indie loose powders.

But I find myself reaching more for pressed neutrals simply out of ease. It’s a “no-brain necessary” way to put a face together in the morning.

Pressed for sure. I’m always running off to somewhere so pressed is much easier that’s why I pressed all my Fyrinnae shadows. It took quite a bit of time but it was worth it. I get to see all of those pretty and complex Fyrinnae shadows in palettes which gives me more versatility instead of using my Naked palette almost exclusively.

  16. I actually don’t own any loose eyeshadows, so I suppose pressed by default! Although you probably get more value for your money with loose eyeshadow.

I actually like both equally. They both have their pros and cons 😉

I love lose eyeshadows, but I also really like indie lines with unusual colors and lots of sparkle. I tend to get more even coverage as well.

Ugh, loose eyeshadow is so messy. I owned one, and it spilled open in my make-up bag and covered everything with glitter. Never again!
