I prefer cream blush all year round. My face just hates powders! Cakes up instantly upon contact. I guess my skin is just way too dry for such!

It’s a toss up for me, but I find myself reaching for cream blushes more in the summer to give me a dewy look.

  3. I prefer cream blush, hard is the part the find the right one.

  4. Powder, my face shines so much during the summer, the thought of anything ‘dewy’ makes me weep.

  5. I typically prefer powder, but I have been getting into cream blush lately.

Even though my skin is normal to dry and I prefer cream blush, creams just slides off my TM in the summer, so I use powders when hot.

i prefer cream blush year round!

I wear powder blush year-round, because it works best on my mature, extremely oily skin.
Cream blush tends to accentuate my large pores, and look “splotchy.”

I have always had to use both a cream blush and a powder blush over it because if I use either one alone it either slides off my face or disappears. So I’ve been doing this successfully for many years.

I tend to use creme blushes because they seem to melt (not in a bad way) better into my foundation and look more natural. Using a stippling brush and Maybelline Bouncy Blush, it looks like a natural flush and it doesn’t create shine like a lot of other cremes do. Even the best powder blushes seem to set on top of my makeup, no matter what time of year.

i like maybelline bouncy blush a loooootttt. it’s gotten a bunch of mediocre and/or bad reviews but it’s so perfect for me. so buttery and silky!

i always think i prefer cream blush, but whenever i put on powder blush after wearing cream for a while I’m like “WOW jesus this is so much easier to deal with” and end up using that. I do still really like cream blush, but mostly only over bare skin or tinted moisturizer!

Would it be cheating to say “both?” By themselves, cream blushes melt off my face. But a very light coat with a powder blush on top works well on my combination skin that can go from normal to extremely oily in an instant. The powder blush cements adheres to the cream blush perfectly.

I like both, too. For me, it really just depends on what I’m going for, and sometimes a cream is best, other times I prefer a powder. There are also times a powder is just easier to deal with, although a cream would probably look better, LOL.

Cream, because once it wears down a little on the skin, it leaves a nice dewiness. :)

  14. Powder all the way for summer! I’ve just recently gotten into cream blushes and have purchased a few from Bobbi Brown and I really like them…but it is way to hot here where I’m from to wear them during the summer so I will more than likely be using them in the cooler months.

  15. I absolutely love using Tarte cheek stains during the summer. It lasts through the Phoenix summer and they just look so natural.

  16. Neither! I’m all about the stain! Benefit’s Benetint is my best friend during the summer! Because it stains your skin it literally lasts all day!
