I really, truly, don't like waterproof mascara. I've found that it doesn't actually work well for waterproofing from tears or sweat. But it IS hard to remove. I'd just rather use the regular stuff.

I do except when it's time to take it off...ususally takes two washes to take off, so i only been using on the bottom lashes or when i am going to beach or pool.

I don't know if I hate it since I don't use waterproof mascara. :)

I loved it until I discovered tubular mascara -- no more smudging! Now I'm not sure if I'll go back to waterproof. Maybe only if I know I'm going to be in water, but then I wouldn't be wearing any mascara...

I literally always reach for my waterproof mascaras. I just want to play it safe, since I never want to get any problem during th hours with mascara smudging. It's easier to wear normal mascara in places with dry weather. However, in tropical countries, waterproof mascara is a must. However, I don't really like the fact that waterproof mascaras usually perform a little differently from the original versions, most of the time not as good. That's the down size :(

I almost always HATE waterproof, unless you go to the beach or swimming. I accidentally bought the lash stiletto in waterproof, and it took me two days to get it off (I washed my face and used makeup remover and it still didn't come off!!) You could swim for hours and it still wouldn't come off.

I very rarely wear mascara. My lashes are naturally pretty long and thick, so for the most part I just don't bother with it.

I have to use long-lasting, smudge-proof, curl-holding mascaras because my lids are particularly oily and my poor wimpy lashes drop a curl in about 2 minutes if I don't put a curling mascara one them... so it seems that all the mascaras that work for me are waterproof whether I'm looking for it or not. I wish I could find one that was easier to take off, but most of those just drop my curl and smudge badly. =/ Even Maybelline Full'n'Soft Waterproof over Shiseido's Mascara Base let my lashes droop by the end of the day and gave me raccoon eyes around 4pm though... so I'm guessing my lids and lashes are just particularly ornery. T_T;

I dont think waterproof mascaras are worth the hassel, there so hard to get off even with decent remover you still have to tug and pull more than i'd like plus you always seem to lose a lash or two in the process which is not good over time.

I have allergies that make my eyes water constantly so I have to wear it. But I hate the hassle of removal. So I wear regular mascara with a coat of waterproof overtop. It stands up to my allergies but comes off almost as easily as regular mascara. Yay!

Honestly, I've never tried it. I have pretty prominent/visible bottom lashes and I don't really have to bother with waterproof mascara on the top.

I don't like anything waterproof, too much tugging and pulling around my eyes. Olive oil and coconut oil works best but it still requires some tugging. My eylashes get dried out and I look like I have very bad under eye circles the next day.

I only use Waterproof Mascara for dance because I don't like the feel of false eyelashes, oh I also like it for my bottom lashes

It's a necessity for my watering eyes.

I use Maybelline's The Collossal, the non-waterproof version. Somehow it actually doesn't smudge on me at all, not even when the weather is a little damp -- but it doesn't require makeup remover to take off (awesome!). I've worn it all day (like 16 hours) and even taken naps with it on, with no smudging or transfer at all. However, it's true that it tends to straighten out my lashes after I've curled them. When I use this one I just deliberately over-curl my lashes a bit. Otherwise I really love Fairy Drops, which is waterproof and does hold curl nicely.

I only use it when I know I'm going to sweat or get wet.

To be honest, I've automatically assumed that mascaras are waterproof partly because I live in Asia, I can't really tell the difference apart from removal. It is just one thing less to worry about when it comes to eye make up.

It's... complicated. I have watery eyes, esp. during allergy season and when I get tired, so I have to wear waterproof mascara to avoid looking after a raccoon halfway through the day, but it's SUCH a pain to take off at night. Ugh.

I like WP mascara but my opthamologist advised against using it because I wear contacts.

I absolutely hate it. I wear it in the summer months because I never know when I'll hit the pool but it is a complete nuisance to get off.

I recently switched to waterproof for long days because my seasonal allergies were making my eyes water more than usual. Say bye to racoon eyes!

Yes I need waterproof mascara I yawn A LOT! Even when I'm not sleepy or tired I just yawn yawn yawn yawn yaaaawn.:0

only time i wear waterproof is when i have a feeling its supposed to be raining that day. otherwise, it's regular mascara for me. i hate taking off waterproof at the end of the day, and i usually dont like the formulas as much. i have no problem with keeping a curl without waterproof, and its not all that humid where i live. looking at my current mascara stash, i have 6 regular formulas, and 2 waterproof ones =]

I don't normally bother, because the mascaras I use (Guerlain Le 2, Givenchy Pheomen'eyes, No 7 Extreme Lenght, Diorshow, etc.) don't smudge on me at all. I only use waterproof mascara if I go to the swimming pool or the beach, but that's not very often. Otherwise it's not worth all the hassle.

Love it. Have never been able to find a non waterproof one that held curl and didnt' smudge off after few hours.

I only use waterproof mascara. I wear contacts so I use rewetting drops on a regular basis. If I didn't wear waterproof mascara, I would be a mess all the time! lol

i hate to get it off at the end of the day, but it stays put through out the whole day, so i think it is worth it

Other - only for my bottom lashes :)

That's a good tip! I've done that before - Because the bottom lashes tend to transfer by the end of the day, using a waterproof mascara just on the bottom lashes will keep everything in its place.

I prefer mascara that doesn't smudge, run or transfer so waterproof is good for that... However, I always keep a good non-waterproof mascara on hand for photo shoots (in case you WANT the mascara to be running down your face). The Best one I've found for that is Loreal's Voluminous - Add a little water to that and it's EVERYWHERE! (Looks pretty cool tho.) Hehe. You could probably keep mascaras in the Global pencil case too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijvGp41P-2M (PLUG PLUG PLUG) Hahah!

I hate the fuss of getting it off at the end of the night, but it's the only thing that will keep my eyelashes curled.
