Love them! Haven’t found the perfect one tho..

  2. Nepenthe says:

MAC’s Otherwordly blush is my go to for highlights. It’s so gorgeous, it’s a shame it was LE.. definitely needs to be repromoted IMO.

Albatross (NARS) works wonders on me!

can people list their fav highlighters please? cos im looking for a really good one, atm i love MAC’s shimpagne and perfect topping, but.. i hear NARS albatross is amazing

My favourite is definitely Pleasureflush MSF, but that’s vhtf and very expensive on eBay as it was LE several years go. I also really like Honour blush and I have found a nice dupe for Pleasureflush, it’s a blush and highlighter duo from Laura Geller called Boysenberry/Amaretti, and Amaretti is an exact dupe for Pleasureflush (plus Boysenberry is a gorgeous pink blush). New Id Cosmetics has a very nice higlighter called Sirocco, and Prestige has a lovely highlighter powder too, the lightest shade (Pure Shimmer) of the mineral bronzing powders. They are both almost exactly the same as Shimpagne and Soft and Gentle by the way.

Nars Albatross is definitely amazing!!! I also like Diorskin Shimmers (especially Rose Diamond) and Dior Limelight (it is a cream highlighter so it is very long lasting and ‘fresh’ looking…). Good luck!

I love perfect topping. But I voted “sometimes” because I am too lazy sometimes to highlight/contour along with everything else.

  5. Faith says:

I use blush and a darker powder for contouring, but I’m very fair so I see no need to highlight. I also like to have a fairly matte face.

  6. Christy says:

Of course! I’ve got a nice collection of MAC MSF’s to get me through a few years. ;)

  7. Brigitte says:

Unless I’m really dressing up to something very important I very rarely bother to use a highlighter. Other than that, yeah they’re nice. :)

  8. Sairah says:

Yesss, I LOVE Diorskin Shimmer Powder 003 Copper Diamond. It was LE, but 001 Rose Diamond and 002 Amber Diamond (both part of the permanent line) are worth checking out!

  9. Sass says:

    Love. Love. Love.

i like highlighters generally, and mostly use msf’s like perfect topping, mac gloss medium, and cream colour bases like improper copper, but sometimes i use eyeshadows too….like amber lights.

I went nuts buying highlighters when I discovered them, then realized I didn’t need them. My skin has a natural sheen if I’m not dehydrated, sleep and moisturize well. But I do like them sometimes to alter shade of a blush, or to add shimmer to matte blushes. That said, I like Nars Albatross & Illamasqua’s Illuminators. They’re not so subtle to make me ask “What’s the point?”, but there are no chunks of sparkles either. 1-2 highlighters is enough for me. As pretty as they are, I’m not that interested.

Christine how are you supposed to use the cheek highlighter? Do you apply it and on top of that you apply the blush? Give me some tips.

  13. Kristina says:

I’ve always loved cheek highlighters, but recently my skin has changed from being dry with tiny pores to dehydrated, yet oily with GIANT pores! So now, cheek highlighters tend to accentuate my pores! I’m trying out new ones that won’t look so bad.

I can’t leave without cheek highlighters! My favorites are Dior Amber diamond, MUFE Shine on, MAC Hush CCB and Soft & Gentle MSF

Do you feel a highlighter to achieve glowy cheeks if you are using Nars Orgasm or any other blush that already has a lot of shimmer?
