A Holiday Red That Wears and Wears
Dior Diva (038) Diorific Lipstick ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a rich orange-red with warm undertones and a natural sheen. Lancome Red Haute is more orange. theBalm Vanilly is a little lighter. Hourglass Raven is more orange. Guerlain Genna is also more orange. Edward Bess Midnight Bloom is more blue-toned. Guerlain Habit Rouge is similar. MAC Charmed, I’m Sure is slightly bluer.
It’s full formula name is “Rouge Haute Couleur Longue Tenue” or “Long-Wearing True Color Lipstick.” Diva is rich in pigment and applies with full color coverage with one pass. The texture is just creamy enough to enable good glide across the lips without pulling or tugging, but it doesn’t move around on the lips and almost feels like a matte lipstick. This particular shade lasted nearly eight hours, and while it wore for hours, it did not dry my lips out at all. It has a lightly floral scent.

The wear time of these seems seriously incredible. I’m lucky when a lipstick lasts more than an hour or two on me…

What a beautiful color! The long lasting and non-drying formula are definitely positives.
I love the whole look–the eyes and cheeks are lovely but understated and really allow the lips to shine!
