Influenced by the ornate, corseted gowns and decorative broaches of the 18th Century Louis XVI style and inspired by the delicate light-reflecting qualities of crystal, each product in this exquisite color collection is like a tiny jewel. Featuring shades of petal pink, deep silver and a wide range of purples to create a luxurious and festive look for holiday.
Cristal Boreal Gloss Pendant ($80.00)
In the mid Fifties, inspired by the magnificence of Versailles, Christian Dior asked the Swarovski House to create a crystal that evoked the reflections of the sunlight going through the famous Galerie des Glaces in Versailles. This led to the creation of the Aurore Boréale crystal with its unique multi-colored reflections.
For its 2009 Christmas Look, Christian Dior Parfums has collaborated for the very first time with the Swarovski House to create an exceptional Star Product using the legendary Aurore Boréale crystal : “Cristal Boréal”. The oval pendant, inspired by the shape of the neo-Louis XVI chairs that Christian Dior loved, is adorned with 52 Swarovski crystals of which 4 are Aurore Boréale.
This pendant contains a crystal-effect gloss declined in one easy-to-wear shade: Pink Crystal. A true makeup jewel for precious iridescent lips. Availability: Specialty Stores

I know that at the mome there are only 20 templates in each Europe country... and as we were told, if they decide to make more of them, the price will be even higher. I got mine as New Year's present.... I love it! makes me feel special... :)

I'm trying to find the 2 new lipsticks and the creme de gloss, I've looked all over New York...does anyone know where to find them yet? I have the Smoky Crystal quint, the Styleliner and the necklace already, they are all really special unique items this season...but I must have the lipsticks!! They're my favorite of the collection. Please let me know how to find them!
Has anyone tried the Dior liquid eyeliner yet? How is it holding up over the day and how does it apply? Just got the silver purple nail polish and I love it :D

Hooray! I received the pendant as a surprise gift! Totally worth the price. The lip gloss goes along with the Boreale theme. Pale pink with iridescent sparkles.
Already got Black Cannage lip and eye clutches from Nordstrom. Absolutely gorgeous. Smoky Crystal shadow is on backorder. I can't wait for it to arrive. Purple Styleliner is next on the list. Does anyone know what color the gloss is in the pendant?

I want the lipsticks and gloss
The lighter quint looks nice, but Im not impressed by the grey quad, as the shades look all alike. The lipsticks dont inspire. But Im dying to see the lip palettes. I like the quality of Dior lipsticks.and Ive gotten into very compact lip palettes. They are great for travel, when I dont want to carry lots of junk, and cant decide. Its hard to find good colors though. I hate reds in lip palettes, as I carry a red lipstick separately. The nail polishes sound nice too. Hope you swatch the lip palettes!
Seeing a photo of Stam always makes me happy, but when she's wearing gorgeous makeup, I go plain giddy!
LOVE those 2 quints... Argh! Dior always does this to me! Tried one of the YSL 5 colour harmonie eyeshadow quints and while they're quite pretty to look at, Dior totally whups them as far as pigmentation and blendability goes. I <3 Dior.
Three words: Rats, it's gorgeous. So much for I'll be good for the holiday season. Here's hoping that Guerlain isn't just as gorgeous.

Dior probably makes the most beautiful packagings, especially their special edition stuff, like the pendant. But I dont like how expensive the brand is, especially when the quality is not that good. Ive always been disappointed by every Dior item I ever bought.

In Canada, the Dior Couture Silver Cannage Clutch was released with the fall 2009 collection at Holt Renfrew, so if you're in Canada, you can get it there already (unless its sold out). The colours in that clutch that was released at HR are DiorBlush 733 and Dior 2-colour eyeshadow in Nude Look. I believe at Canada Holt Renfrew counters, instead of that clutch, they'll be releasing one with face powder, blush and highlighter. (I got the info from a Dior salesperson at HR.
I love the holiday collections with the bling bling packaging.
