Dior Addict Extreme for Spring 2012

“Why deprive fashion and women of the prestige of color?” asked Christian Dior, who fervently believed in the power of color. As early as 1947, at the midst of the excitement of the New Look collection, Dior envisioned a “total look” in which fashion and makeup came together in perfect harmony. Each model from that first collection appeared wearing original shades of lipstick in tones that “harmonize with each color, each fabric, each hour.”

Tyen, Artistic Director of Dior Makeup, has inherited this passion. For Dior Addict Extreme, he creates a dynamic, fashion-inspired color palette with a formula that boasts striking hold and a radiant finish, just as Christian Dior always envisioned.

The 12 bold shades of Dior Addict Extreme combine vibrant color intensity with luminous shine and hold. The melt-away texture leaves just the right amount of pigment on the lips for both dazzling shine and intense color. The formula features an exclusive combination of four waxes, hyaluronic acid spheres and delicate, shine-boosting oils for an exclusive, featherweight finish.

Dior Addict Extreme ($30.00)

Dior Addict Extreme features four color families: sophisticated, natural beige shades, variations of essential pinks, bright, playful colors and glamorous, intense shades. Within each family is a standout shade: Incognito, a chic, discreet greige reminiscent of the minimalist chic of Parisian women, Lucky, a bold, dazzling pink shade inspired by Kate Moss and named for one of Christian Dior’s favorite models, an icon of the 1950’s, while the iconic Plaza Athenee Hotel on the Avenue Montaigne inspired Plaza, a refined mauve. Finally, the electric coral Riviera is a nod to Christian Dior’s love of sunny locales, where he would retreat to renew his energy and return with sketches for his next collections.

I saw this collection yesterday, well the lipsticks are pretty and the nail polishes look promising ! Colours are intense, esp. for the nail polishes ( the nude pink is beautiful too but the 3 others are really bright ones ! )

I purchased mine a week ago at Nordstrom, shade “Avenue” and it’s incredible! The color is my favorite, the MLBB, the formula is just lovely on my usually dry lips :)

  3. These look so pretty! Ah!

I saw these products just the other day, and was contemplating purchasing them. Now I regret my decision!

I love the formula, but I was unimpressed by the colors.

  7. I have tried out a few of these lipsticks and I must say I’m a fan! However, if you are going to order these online without seeing them in person, I HIGHLY suggest you google swatches first! (The shades shown on Sephora’s website are nothing like they actually are in person.) Just an FYI!
