Dianna Agron had her makeup done by celebrity makeup artist Kate Lee.
Makeup Breakdown
“Dianna wore a vintage CHANEL Haute Couture dress in navy with a black lace overlay. I wanted to make Dianna appear fresh and up to date.” — Kate Lee, Makeup Artist
“I started by using CHANEL Intense Eye Pencil in Ambre to smoke put the inner lid, then gently blended it onto the upper and lower lash line. I worked over the top with CHANEL Soft Touch Eyeshadow in Cinnamon, a dark burgundy shade. On the inner third of the lid I used grey shimmery tone from the CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in Enigma. I blended and melted the colours away from the socket. Lashes were curled and given one coat of CHANEL Inimitable Mascara in Noir-Brun. I finished off the eye by sculpting Dianna’s brows with Anastasia’s brow pencil and tinted brow gel. I then applied a layer of CHANEL Hydramax + Active Serum, followed by Nars oil free primer. I perfected the skin with CHANEL Vitalumiere Moisture-Rich Fluid Makeup. On the apple of the cheek I used CHANEL Powder Blush in Fresque which is a beautiful peach shade that shines pink and adds a really pretty dimension to the cheek. On the lips I used CHANEL Rouge Coco Shine Lip Colour in Romance to add a pop of pink an keep the look youthful!”
Hair Breakdown
“We wanted to merge the vintage and modern look together by doing a double knot in the back and sweeping the bangs to one side so you get a glimpse of the effortlessly undone ‘do from every angle” says Jenny Cho, Suave Professionals Celebrity Stylist.
Add texture to hair by adding Suave Professionals Volumizing Mousse to damp hair. You can be generous with the amount of product – in this case, more is better. Blow dry hair with fingers and a medium size round brush to smooth out the ends. Spray Suave Professionals Dry Shampoo all over, concentrating on the roots for extra texture.
Side part the hair with a tail comb and tease crown for a little extra volume. Apply Suave Professionals Sleek Anti-Frizz Cream to hands and split the hair down the center into two sections. Tie a knot as if you’re tying a bow and secure the first knot with bobby pins and u-pins. Make another knot right under the first, so it’s double knotted, and secure with more pins. Leave the ends out to give it the undone finish.
Sculpt the front by adding more anti-frizz cream and mold the fringe to frame the face. Leave a piece out on one side to add a touch of looseness.
Finish the look with Suave Professionals Touchable Finish Lightweight Hold Hairspray for a natural, moveable finish.

I loved her look at the Golden Globes, she looked so pretty and young, but here she looks so old, I don’t want to be mean but it looks scary
I would never think of putting a brown smokey eye with a blue dress! I usually keep cool colours with cool and warm with warm but maybe that’s old fashioned! Dianna looks beautiful as always – the dress has quite an 80s feel to it which is kinda cool.
i don’t like the makeup so much but the dress is nice.
Hey eyebrows are way too dark for this.
I’m sorry, but she looks old and tired here. Perhaps it’s the eye makeup. A dress just below the knee would be more flattering to her petite frame.
She’s a pretty woman, too! Just not the right look for her.
I really loved her make up and her dress. thanks for sharing the breakdown
Huh, I’m surprised more people don’t like her makeup. To me it looks nice and “basic”–not risky or weird, just a good ol’ smoky eye and pink lip. I like it.
I think the dress is pretty but the dark eye makeup really ages her.
I think her eyebrows are too dark and the eyeshadow gives her circles. The lower lash line is especially bad.
The artist did a good job with the foundation and highlighting though.
I didn’t really recognize her at first. She’s beautiful as always and I absolutely love the dress, but I think the eyebrows are WAY too dark for her.
a, may, zing.
Loved the eye makeup the moment I saw her on TV. Thanks for the breakdown. I think she looks lovelier here than in the Golden Globes. She looked old there, too retro. Not too crazy about the dress, though.
my god she so damn pretty!!! luv it
Love her lipcolor. I can’t wait until the Chanel Rouge Coco Lip Shines come out!!
Wow, I didn’t even recognise her! I think it looks fab close up but from a distance, she looks older.
i think the hair and makeup is beautiful and simple. But i don’t like the dress, something feminine and pretty would have done the makeup more justice
I love the dress, skin, and hair, but I agree that the eye makeup isn’t very flattering. It makes her look tired and I think it ages her quite a bit. The brows are too dark (like, four or five shades too dark) and the lower lashline makes her under eye look quite puffy. I think if they had not taken that shadow down so far, it would look much better. There’s no saving those eyebrows, though . . . wow.
LOVE her hair and makeup!
kate lee usually creates an incredible smokey eye on actors like anne hathaway & keira knightley, i usually adore her looks but this is too harsh. the shadow is close to her eye color so her eye color is lost. also the brows are too heavy
The dress is an awkward length. But lurve the flattering makeup & hair, and her glowy skin. I look at her, and think, hey that’s Rosalie of Twilight!
Omg she looks beautiful! *-* <3
I barely recognized her from Glee, until I looked at the full-body picture and googled her name.
I don't get why most people seems to not like it, I think she looks better than usually! D:
I love the hair!
OMG this dress ist … WOW! Ahhhhh… *sigh*
she’s so pretty. i LOVE her eyes in this.
