  1. That color in the middle looks gorgeous!

Black and white? Kind of boring for an anniversary.

The free gift is nice, but honestly for a 2nd anniversary collection I’d expect something a bit more exciting than white, black and copper glitter.

I personally look to indies to get colors I have trouble finding elsewhere and these just aren’t that. :(

Am I the only one who thinks it’s a bit weird to include a basic black and white in an anniversary collection? Could it be because they think the glitter polish is best layered over those two? That’s the only way it makes any sense to me.

The black isn’t basic. It’s supposed to dry to a wax-like finish and I’m intrigued by it. Also, Cult Nails’ overall polish quality would make me choose this white over any other brand. The fact that it self-levels puts it above most whites, which are difficult to work with.

Cult Nails didn’t really have a basic black or white before now, so I think it’s a good anniversary choice, to add these basics to round out the line. What’s keeping me from buying the set is the copper glitter, just because I have plenty of it and even a high-quality version of it isn’t enough to tempt me to buy more.

I’ve been trying a lot of independent polish brands lately, and I’m starting to tell the difference between truly unique and quality brands and ones that are not “there” yet. Cult Nails is quality and has been since its first line.

  6. Ah that middle shade looks so pretty… I know everyone seems sick of the holidays, but I’m still in love with anything reminiescent of holidays and Christmas

I am so excited about these polishes! The white is a one-to-two-coat, self-leveling glossy cream. The black is a wax finish – not glossy like Nevermore (Cult Nails’ one-coat black). And the golden copper is just beautiful! Cult Nails’ formula is my personal favorite, and black and white with glitter makes sense to me for an anniversary collection – basic “tuxedo” colors plus some sparkle.

Do you know how Fetish compares to Illamasqua Scorn – finish and application wise?
