Clinique Roomiest Rose Chubby Stick Intense
Clinique Roomiest Rose Chubby Stick Intense

Clinique Roomiest Rose Chubby Stick Intense ($16.00 for 0.10 oz.) is described as a “watermelon rose.” It’s a darkened rose red with a muted quality and subtle warm undertones. Chanel Taffeta Rose is pinker. Elizabeth Arden Perfect Tulip is a touch pinker.  I really wasn’t able to think of many similar shades, and both of the ones I did think about were noticeably pinker.

This shade had full color coverage and great color payoff (though Clinique intended only medium coverage).  The pencil felt balanced between creamy and waxy, so it glided on readily but didn’t feel heavy or apply thickly.  The color stayed put on my lips for four and a half hours, and it was lightly hydrating while worn. I think Roomiest Rose is one of the most wearable shades in the Intense range for all skin tones. It’s not too warm- or cool-toned, and it’s not too bright or too muted.  Against fairer skin, it may be a bolder shade, but the general color is still very every day–with oomph.

  1. Definitely my favorite shade you’ve swatched so far – it looks so beautiful on you Christine!

I love this color! I have pretty fair skin and it looks really nice on me, not too bold but it’s a fun pop of color.

This looks gorgeous on you Christine! it really suits you :D , I already own Chanel Taffetas Rose, so I wouldn´t buy this but I still think it´s a very pretty color :) .

  4. Oh yeah, that is indeed a very pretty and wearable shade.

  5. the photo makes it look like it has shimmer – does it?

  6. Leticia

So pretty and definitely a shade I´d wear often! Another Chubby Stick that’s added to my wishlist!

I really like this colour (enough to probably go out and buy one) and the overall formula and range seem nice, but I just don’t get the ‘pencil’ packaging. What makes this ‘better’, exactly? It’s basically a lipstick in a different shape, it won’t save space/keep the product fresher for longer/make application easier… I just don’t get the sudden craze for lipsticks/glosses in pencils. At least you don’t have to sharpen these but why would any company get you to sharpen a gloss in the first place?!

Really pretty – it’s the perfect mix of red and pink! It really does look nice on you, Christine. But what doesn’t?? LOL ;-)

Also wanted to add that I am not a fan of the color names of these. Roomiest Rose? Fuller Fudge? Not appealing at all!

  9. Alexis

I really love this color, I have pale skin and it is pretty bold on me, but a very wearable bold.

  10. Julie

Very beautiful shade. Well I think you should add MAC Craving (Amplified Finish) to the dupe list of Roomiest Rose. I’ve tried both on me and actually they look very similar.
