I’ve never tried the Water Therapy one, but I’m sorry to hear the Deep Comfort one isn’t as good for you!

I loved the Clinique water therapy hand cream. We have very dry winters here and my hands were always dry and cracked with sore red patches. I was disappointed when this hand cream was discontinued and replaced with the deep comfort one. I have been using it and I do not think it is anywhere near as effective.
