Hi Christine, I love your blog! I’ve been following it for a while but this is my first post. I also have a Clarisonic and I think it’s great. I noticed I was starting to break out after a while after using it so I stopped for a bit. Then I decided to start up again but wash it with an antibacterial soap, and guess what, it did the trick! I’m so happy now, no more extra breakouts!

I was wondering if you use it on your face for 2 minutes. I’m not sure but the instructions might have said something about 2 for body and 1 for face? Do you like using the 2 for face? I’d like to try that but I was worried maybe it would irritate it.

I treated myself on my 50th birthday and bought the Clarisonic. I have a completely different reason for using the cleansing system. You see it has become too painful for me to wash my face with my hands due to rheumatoid arthritis. The Clarisonic cleanses the skin deeply and when used properly does so very gently. Something I need because my skin is very delicate due to my medications. Now I have a spa experience twice a day when I cleanse my face. I love it!

If I wear eye makeup, yes, but if it’s just face makeup, I just do cleanser + Clarisonic at the same time.

I am buying the Clarisonic Mia fianlly! Can you tell me if you take your makeup off with a cleasner first in the PM and then use it?

I’ve been using the Clarisonic Plus for almost a couple of months. When I started with it, I had big red, painful breakouts just about every week, but since I’ve been using this, they have steadily improved… now I only have a couple of red blotches and my acne scars left. My overall skin appearance has improved and my blackheads have been getting smaller, especially when I use Dermalogica’s daily microfoliant about once a day after cleansing with the Clarisonic. My skin is softer and I no longer have patches of flaky skin from where my acne has peeled. My skincare routine was good because it felt right on my skin but just by using this with my old skin care routine its proven much more effective and beneficial. I honestly think that if I bought this before I started getting my painful (cystic pimples, whiteheads, blackheads, the works) red breakouts I wouldn’t have much of the scarring I have today.

Also, the body brush works. It makes your skin smoother, though the scrub it comes with isn’t very moisturising so I’d recommend also buying a nice moisturising scrub to go with it!
