My thoughts exactly! She looks very pretty, but considering how I remember her to be, she looks much older and a lot less fresh-innocent looking. Personally I really adore the ‘previous-version’ of Claire, I used to think she was much more unique the way she looked.

Wow. The last thing I saw her in was “The Family Stone” from 2005. She had hardly changed at all since “My So Called Life”. I feel bad to say this, but there’s no way someone’s appearance changes that much in five years without surgical intervention.. I would never have recognized her…
I disagree, if you look at her carefully she hasn’t changed that much since “My so called life”, the hair color, yes, and she’s grown into her bone structure like every woman in her early thirties– same thing happened to Kate Winslet etc No plastic surgery required
I definitely hear what you’re saying, and yes, faces do mature and grow into their bone structure. But, I absolutely would not have recognized her. I am the same age as Ms. Danes, and no one that I know in my age group has changed quite this much. Of course, none of us are celebrities, with stylists on call

she always has great taste in clothes. I have never seen her pick anything weird.
Did she get a lot of work or Botox done? Her face looks pretty, but kinda hard and plastic, and she does look older than she is! I think the hair colour doesn’t flatter her current skin tone, it actually ages her a little. She should wear less frost on the eye m/u, it looks creased up in the inner creases and that ages her too.

I think her eyes look a lot different… very strange how different she looks.
Claire Danes’ eyues look sooo different than they used to just two years ago. Her eyes look deeper set,sunken in, closer together, and smaller. Also, her eyebrows seem to have fallen lower. Even her face looks different (mouth and nose stayed the same)around the cheek area…plumper but compramised somehow.It is like she got a face lift or eye surgery. She looks so different.

I agree with Anne’s statement. I had seen her on tv a couple of times and some magazines and the first thing i did was take a double take at the name. She looks different. her eyes are different. It’s not age; it’s not weight. The shape and structure of her eyes are different. She used to have such pretty eyes. They were the sort of eyes that had not very visible eyelids and kind of protruding at bit. Very pretty and youthful. A bit Asian, too. My daughter has eyes like that.
Now, Claire’s eyes look like she has heavy lids, sunken in, and dried up. That doesn’t happen with age or weight loss. At least not that drastically. She did something to them.
For those of you that say she still looks a lot like herself…well, yes, because she is still Claire Danes. I still see her when i look at her picture, I just have to get past the eyes.
