Christina Hendricks @ 2010 Emmy Awards
2010 Emmy Awards: Christina Hendricks
Very subtle silvery-gray smoky eye, maybe a bit of brown in the crease to keep it on the soft side! I think she may be wearing a peachy blush, but it’s hard to say. The lips look like a soft pinky-coral.
Makeup Breakdown
Christina Hendricks, Supporting Actress nominee for her role in “Mad Men,” was ethereal and stunning at tonight’s Emmy Awards. Clad in a lilac Zac Posen gown, with her signature red hair flowing, Christina’s makeup was inspired by Mia Farrow’s iconic character from “The Great Gatsby.” Celebrity makeup artist Vanessa Scali gave us a call from the Emmys to give us the details on Christina’s look:
Face: Vanessa prepped the skin with Lancôme’s La Base Pro. To perfect Christina’s already luminous skin, Vanessa used Lancôme’s new Teint Miracle Lit-From-Within Makeup. “It has an amazing transparent quality that leaves the skin looking flawless and luminous without being shiny,” said Vanessa. “I applied it with a brush and then blended with my fingers.” Blending with her fingers heated up the foundation a bit, allowing for a seamless finish. Vanessa followed with Effacernes Concealer under the eyes, her “all time favorite concealer.”
Cheeks: For a fresh pop of color I used Lancôme’s Blush Subtil Shimmer in Pink Pool on the apples of her cheeks. Dabs of Giorgio Armani Beauty’s Fluid Sheer #2 highlighted Christina’s cheekbones.
Eyes: The eye shadow was mix of YSL’s Ombre Solo Eyeshadow in Cashmere Brown and Midnight Black. “I applied these all over her lid, under the bottom lashes and blended it out past her natural lash line to softly elongate the eye,” reported Vanessa. To define and elongate the lash line, Vanessa lined the eyes with Lancôme’s Le Crayon Khôl in Black. “I used a touch of liner under her bottom lashes but smudged it for a softer look,” said Vanessa. For added depth, Vanessa used Artliner Precision Point Eyeliner in Noir at the very base of Christina’s lashes. Several generous coats of Lancôme Définicils Waterproof Mascara in Black were used on the top and bottom lashes.
Lips: Christina’s lips were a mix of Lancôme lip colors for an effect that Vanessa described as “red with a little dash of pink.” A sheer coat of Color Design Matte Lipstick in Corset was topped by La Laque Fever Lipshine in Cyber Coral

Not loving this dress at all. It looks old-lady-ish & like it got attacked by a cat.
Beautiful lady, not a beautiful dress.
Agreed!
It would look better without the fringe!
She looks gorgeous in everything! Lucky!
I Really didn’t like this dress…
I think the color of the dress is nice with her coloring……..she is so pretty anyway. I think the dress had potential but maybe have it be strapless and get rid of the sleeves? I don’t like the foofy feathery things but you have to give it to her……..she does make a statement!
She looks stunning! If you’ve got it, flaunt it!
Wow. She looks stunning. I actually kind of like the dress, in all is weirdly paneled, dusty lilac, feathery floatiness – it’s whimsical. Plus it makes her waist look tiny and her boobs look fabulous. She is sort of hypnotically arresting to look at…
Yeah that dress is awful. It makes her look a lot larger than she is – if you have a big bustline, you shouldn’t wear sleeves with so much volume going on in them. It’ll just make you look heavier!
Otherwise, I think she looks beautiful.
I’m really not loving her styling here. Makeup or outfit. She’s a beautiful woman, but so often she wears unattractive dresses.
I usually like her fashion choices, but then again I can own up to the fact that maybe I’m biased because I love Mad Men so much. I think she looks great. I’ve also read interviews with her where she talks about how it’s a challenge to get designers to create dresses for her because of her figure. And not that I look ANYTHING like her but I am busty with a smaller waist and bigger hips and it is next to impossible to find a dress off the rack that fits easily…never thought it would be a challenge to actually find people to make something for you!
beautiful girl, beautiful face, dress not so much
her body got amazing curves in this dress!
Her skin looks flawless and I am loving that lipstick. The dress is bad but then again, it’s Christina Hendricks, I was expecting something fug anyway lol.
How is she wearing Teint Miracle? That doesn’t come in a shade close to her (and my) skin tone. Her skin looks gorgeous either way.
Gosh, she is stunning, but that dress does not suit her.
is there makeup? i just see huge boobs.
are they real?
It’s hard to believe that there is Lancome on her face. I’m really pale and it’s impossible for me to buy a foundation (my only match is Face Fabric 08 by Armani; color is great but the cover is too light/sheer). Lancome is too dark for me and it has to be too dark for Christina.
Now this is what true beauty is all about, this woman is simply stunning.
This girl has a to-die-for curvy figure. Why have I never seen her before?!
How totally awesome to see a woman on the red carpet that looks all WOMAN. Bust, hips, thin waist.
Fabulous!
And no overly bleached teeth either….
Skinny women can look like WOMEN too. It’s insulting to naturally thin women that their figure means they aren’t a real woman. women of all sizes are beautiful.
Beautiful lady but garish dress. Why can’t anyone design something that looks good on her?
