Celebrity makeup artist Kristofer Buckle did the makeup honors for Christina’s highly-anticipated appearance at tonight’s MTV Movie Awards in Los Angeles. Kristofer shared the scoop on Christina’s red carpet look with us.
The mission, says Kristofer, was to give Christina “perfect ivory skin and strong bone structure” to highlight her bold and classic red lip. To start, Kristofer prepped the skin with Lancôme’s new Teint Idole Fresh Wear Foundation in Bisque and Maquicomplet Complete Coverage Concealer in Ivoire (a makeup artist favorite). For the eyes, Kristofer swept YSL Ombre Solo Smoothing Effect Eyeshadow in #2 Cashmere Brown along the crease. Three coats of Hypnôse Drama Mascara in Excessive Black topped the upper lashes and one light coat coated the lower lashes.
For Christina’s glam red pout, Kristofer first lined with Lancôme’s Le Lipstique Lipcolouring Stick in Rougelle, a sheer red liner. Color Design Matte Lipstick in Red Haute delivered the rich dose of red—perfect for the iconic pop star.

Stunning makeup look and photographs beautifully!<3 I wonder what he used on her cheeks - the perfect flush for this look.
the only thing i love about her whole look was how she paired the red lipstick with an outfit like that. it looks amazing, but im not too fond of the dress nor her hair.

Look at Christina's past photos throughout the years, pre-gaga, and you will all see that she was crazy with wardrobe as well. I love Gaga, but Gaga wishes she was as beautiful as Xtina and could sing half as good as Xtina. Xtina is not trying to be Gaga.
I'm not a huge fan of Christina but I do like some of her songs :) And in the time that she took a break and got married and had a son, Lady Gaga's careeer has just skyrocketed and everyone else that hasn't been in the limelight for a while and whoever has an uncanny resemblence is 'copying' Lady Gaga. And that's not true. Not in Christina's case and I agree with Dada: she was dancing to 'Dirrty' when Gaga was still in high school or just graduated.

I do think there are blatant Lady Gaga copycats out there - Lady Gaga did start a "controversy" trend :/ But here this is definitely Christina :) Woaahhh, loving LOVING the hair and dress :D
Love the makeup, hate the hair and the dress. She looks like an alien with her hair like that. Her PERFORMANCE was very Gaga-esque. Christina has always worn train wrecks on the red carpet so that is nothing new. Yes Christina is very telented, but sorry to say that she is old news and trying to revamp her style to fit in with what is current and popular. Hello Lady Gaga

I hate it when people compare her to Gaga too...I really don't think anybody is compared to Gaga, she is just so "out there" lol Christina has always been trying out new things... I'm loving the makeup and the hair, I think she wears red lipsticks so well, they look stunning on her :) don't like the dress at all :|
You cant deny the dress is VERY ladygaga esque. I think of lady gaga's grammy dress, i dont know why. I think its the highlift front.

Her makeup and hair looks so great.....She has always been blonde and edgy and tried different looks...everything and everybody is not copying Gaga.....Maybe Gaga is copying others...there was a music world before she plopped in it ....The dress not so much but she is a beautiful woman

From the neck up she looks great, but that dress is totally hideous. The shoes are okay...but to be honest, I kind of hate platforms and wish they weren't back in style.

I am not an Aguilera fan at all, but lets knock it off with the Lady Gaga comparisons. Yes, in the music videos but here? No. Not every platinum blonde, lipstick wearing woman is trying to be Lady Gaga (who has barely been around long enough for all this praise) 24/7. The make up here is good, the dress is a disaster.
