Christina Aguilera looks absolutely beautiful — really subtle yet noticeable makeup. Very classy. The dress… at least it’s different than all the ruffly dresses we’ve been seeing tonight!

“I wanted to create a soft natural look on Christina to compliment her gown and new haircut,” said Kristofer Buckle for NARS Cosmetics. “Her dress choice was a beautiful pastel peach with silver. I didn’t want the look to fight with her gown. The final look is chic and seamless, with a earthy colored smokey eye and glowing skin.” – Kristofer Buckle for NARS Cosmetics
Beauty Breakdown
Complexion: Use the Balancing Moisture Lotion and apply the Makeup Primer as a base. Apply Firming Foundation and set with Pressed Powder
Eyes: Apply the vanilla side of India Song Duo Eyeshadow as a base, over the entire lid and up to eyebrow. Next, use the shimmering walnut shade of India Song Duo Eyeshadow and apply to the outer corner and under the bottom lash line. Then, use the warm rich brown side of Cordura Duo Eyeshadow just under eye rubbing into the lower lash line to create smokey eye. Curl the eyelashes and apply a coat of Larger Than Life Lengthening Mascara to top and bottom lashes, following with 2 coats of Larger Than Life Volumizing Mascara for full lashes. Take Nuits Blanches Eyeliner Stylo and dot in between individual lashes [Kristofer’s tip: “I used the Push Eyeliner Brush to blend the eyeliner in between the lashes, which helped to apply just enough without looking to heavy.”]
Lips: Use the Fantasia Lipliner Pencil and Niagara Lipstick. Next, apply Easy Lover Lip Gloss (NEW for Spring 2010) over. [Kristofer’s tip:“Applying a sheer pink gloss on top of a nude colored lip provides a nice modern pop of color.”]
Cheeks: Generously apply Orgasm Illuminator (NEW for Spring 2010) to cheekbones, décolletage, and shoulders for an all over glow. Use Malaysia Multiple Bronzer to contour cheeks by blending under cheekbones. Apply the Mata Hari Blush to the apple of cheeks and lightly tap on browbone. [Kristoper’s tip: “Lightly dusting a blush on the browbone gives life to the eye and melds the whole look together.”] Next, with short, back and forth quick strokes use Nico Blush to highlight cheekbones

I love the dress. It shows her figure and is actually interesting. Normally I wouldn’t like the color, but I feel that if it were bright or dark it would be too much. It doesn’t wash her out, either.

This is a fantastic look all around. Flawless makeup and that dress may not be everyone’s cup of tea but I see it as interesting and unique and still beautiful.

WOW, this surprised me! First time in a LONG time I see her with this kind of soft makeup! LOVE it.
While I do think she looks gorgeous here I don’t think she should have to wear looks like this all the time just because it “suits” her more. I like her in her bold looks, I wear bolder looks too and I’ve recently toned it down and people have commented on how they think the “natural” look goes better with me. But it’s still up to your individual preference, as look as you do it well, what does it matter if it’s obvious you’re wearing makeup?
Rosie girl, I totally agree with you. Christina looks absolutely gorgeous here. However, I really did like her “dirty” look because it fit the music and the vibe. Wearing makeup is an individual thing and an individual feeling. While this look was great for the event I like other looks too because it gets a little boring. This chick is rocking. Love IT!!!
I really like this look!!! A LOT!!! We all know Christina as a such a chameleon when it comes to changing make up and hair looks and I think this one suits her perfectly! It’s very pretty and the colors are perfect for her complexion!

Oh my heavens, that dress is just flawless. Innovative but still plain enough that it doesnt go overboard with construction, draping, shaping and colour. Most dresses goes slightly overborad with all those elements nowadays.
Love her makeup aswell, but I do prefere her bolder looks or clown-makeup as I saw someone refere it to.

makeup is *fabulous* and so not over the top vampy–or whorish, even–like usual. just classic and pretty. wanted to see her wearing something black or maybe blue, but not peach chiffon….blegh! and so misshapen, too.

I barely recognized her. This is the first time I have seen her looking… human. Her make-up is not overdone and it is great with her skintone. I know the dress is odd but I kind of like I it! I think without that odd thing on the right (our right) of the hip, it would be fantastic. It is nice to see her toned down and having a bit of class. Usually it is terrible caked-on clown make-up with terrible hair to match, along with some skanky clothes.

Hair and make up great, she does look classy rather trashy. The dress though maybe not my favorite is befitting for her. It helps her keep a slight and subtle rocker-ish edge.
