In general, nowadays I wear MAC MSF Loose Foundation because I like the satiny look and it gives coverage easily an quickly. Depending if I need more coverage, I would either go with liquid or cream. So mineral, liquid and cream are my top three.

What’s the difference between “powder” foundation and “loose” foundation?

  5. Valerie C. says:

Powder is quick and easy for me. I’m oily so liquids always need something on top like MAC Blot Powder. It’s just easier to do the one step :)

  6. Beda says:

Liquid! It is great for my combination skin.

  7. Zoffe says:

Anything that’s light enough for my skin is a favorite, haha ;D
Most of the time I prefer either liquids or creams with good coverage :)
I do like powders like Studio Fix for when I’m in a hurry, but I prefer the finish of liquids or creams.

    Woohoo! Go liduid!

  9. Anastasia says:

I’ve been mixing my Estée Lauder Doublewear in Shell with Illamasqua Rich Foundation in 105 to get an uber-pale, heavy coverage foundation with a matte finish.

I prefer mineral and/or powder foundation for my combo/oily skin. I used mineral for about 2 years and now I’m using MAC Studio Fix powder foundation.

liquid foundation, followed by translucent pressed powder.

  12. Christy says:

I prefer to use liquid foundation for a full coverage. My fave is MAC Studio Sculpt followed up with MAC MSF loose. For everyday I prefer a light to medium coverage, so I use MAC Select or MSF loose. If I have a bit of time, MAC Strobe Cream and MAC Studio Fix buffed on with a 182 spritzed with Fix+ or water.

I just use the MSF natural from MAC, and when going out at night, liquid foundation and then the MSF natural.

skii airtouch is aaaamazing! i want to try the temptu airbrush foundation too as i love the airbrush look. next, i would go with cream to powder (though a good and light enough ones are difficult to find); armani has a nice one though.

  15. Jannie says:

Liquid, MAC STUDIO FIX never fails me

  16. Paige says:

I tend to just use powder and concealer to fix any imperfections.

  17. Montrese says:

I currently use Studio Tech its pretty good for my combination skin, but i do sometimes use the blot powder on top, especially around my nose…lol

  18. Nicci says:

    Liquid…oil-free types.

  19. Andrea says:

Giorgio Armania Face Fabric, It kinda looks like a a gel or a cream Im really not sure.

  20. Ruth says:

I never wear it, at 41 I still have amazing skin, great genetics !!!!!!

  21. Laura says:

I switched to BB cream a month ago and i’m totally loving it. I set it with MSF natural and get compliments on how natural it looks while giving great coverage at the same time.

  22. kpenn says:

I used to be a die-hard MAC Studio Fix girl, but since discovering MAC MSF, I’ve been fully converted! It just looks so natural on my fair skin; people are always surprised that I’m even wearing anything. I struggled with my sensitive skin for years, and finding a breathable powder like this has really made a big difference in my complexion.

  23. Sasha says:

I like tinted moisturizer + MAC mineralize skinfinish natural! Decent coverage and a flawless finish.

  24. Sass says:

Summer…powder or minerals because it’s light.

Liquid during all other seasons because it covers the best. Love.

  25. Chellz423 says:

MAC minerialized skin finish natural and a little concealor

  26. Chanice says:

I put other because I haven’t the slightest idea which kind I like because I don’t know what suits me. My face is lighter than my body, but I have hyperpigmentatiton from acne. It’s hard enough to find the perfect shade for my african American skin because colors range much too light and much too dark and I most definitely don’t have the skill to mix anything! I tried powder and it looked cakey on my mega oil/dry combination skin. I tried mineral and it didn’t fare any better, I looked like I was wearing a mask. I tried liquid and I use it every now and then hoping to master the application. I think I need to place mine on with my fingertips.

Setting is even harder. I need a foundation that wont get pushed around by my oily skin or rub off on my clothes.

I just opt not to wear any because I’d rather look atrocious in my own skin than behind poorly colored/applied makeup.

I swear, you gals all make it look so easy!
