Creamy is more forgiving – if you want to mattify, just blot lightly. To amp up the shine, reapply a little or add gloss. Doesn’t require your lips to be completely perfect all the time like matte finishes (and these can be so drying unless you spend time exfoliating, moisturizing and priming first – quite frankly I have better things to do a lot of the time!) and the super wet shine glossy ones can creep outside your lip line unless you prep with decent liner or a wax based sealing product.

Creamy looks good on most everyone!

I chose semi-matte. I have issues with lipsticks coming off my lips and I find that works better. If it is a MAC lipstick, my favorite is Amplified Creme.

I picked creamy, because it doesn’t dry out my lips. I do like matte though, because it doesn’t smear!
