  1. It was my Nars lipgloss that was quite expensive :)

  2. I’m the only “other” so far! Because I can’t be bothered to convert dollars to pounds sterling.

I’d spend up to £20, which is considerably more than $20 but I’m not sure how much more. Depending on the size of it, and how amazing it was, but even the MOST INCREDIBLE GLOSS EVER I couldn’t spend more than that on, ’cause at the end of the day it’s still lipgloss and that could buy me food groceries for a week.

  3. My favorites are MAC dazzleglass and NARS lipglosses, now those two are quite expensive but it’s still worth every penny, so the heck with it. They always have gorgeous colors I just couldn’t resist, I just pretend I didn’t know whenever I did some serious impulsive purchase. 8 l/g in 1 purchase, now that was my hand, not me, LOL

  4. the most expensive lip gloss i’ve bought is urban decay’s pocket rocket, and that’s probably the most i would spend on any lip gloss.

  5. I love Chanel and YSL, so $30 is my limit.

yeah chanel is quite expensive so I selected $30. Although with taxes, its a bit more I think. For me, its not about price but use. I have many $10ish lip glosses that I only use 1/3 or 1/2 of the tube. However if I love a lip gloss and its $30 but I actually use all of it, then in my mind, I can justify it. Ideally, I would fall in love with a product that’s less than $10.

On average, I’d say $20 or less if I’m on a specific shopping trip with a budget and/or list, because that’s what I’ll allow. However, if I’m on a splurge shopping trip, I’ll buy anything I fall in love with. For example, I was going to visit my bff in NYC and I saved up so I could shop the new Illamasqua line, but didn’t like how any of it swatched on me. Suddenly, I had ‘free’ money. At that point, spending $25 or so on a fabulous gloss wasn’t a big deal compared to the $200 I had alotted to drop at Sephora that day.

  8. I love lipglosses so price is not really important for me if we are talking about a good one. I don’t use lipsticks so I can afford to spend some money on a gread lipgloss that will pump my lips and make them shine

Chanel is the only brand in which I have more than 1 lipgloss from…3 total (2 Glossimers & Aqualumiere) The # will become 4 since the Luminous Lip Satin is out finally! and it’s $32. The most I have spent so far on ligloss was around $40 from Sisley Paris. It was worth it.

I know this isn’t a lipgloss but I purchased the Extra Silky Lipstick from Cle De Peau and it wasn’t cheap – $50. I was really disappointed. It wasn’t exactly silky but more like gritty & didn’t lasts that long. It got returned!

it depends on the colour and the brand. i bought several Prescriptives Moonbeam lipglosses and those where $29.00 CAD, but I love the colour.

I wouldn’t pay more than 25 euros for a gloss. I don’t know what it is in dollars (over 30 maybe ?) but well. I have a couple chanel, ysl and dior lipglosses. They’re expensive but my little treat from time to time.

  12. Heather

no more than $20. I rarely buy lipgloss but if I did I wouldn’t mind spending 20 dollars for one just once or twice but I wouldn’t pay $20 for one all the time.

i’d spend up to a maximum 20 GBP…which although is equivalent to $33, I would be highly unlikely to spend the same on a lipgloss in north america…i’ve just gotten so use to the cost of cosmetics being so high here and succumbed!

Dior & Chanel..I only buy a few a year. Dior is my favorite lip gloss & it pains me to shell out that kinda $$$ but it’s well worth it:]

  15. Jessica

I’ve bought 3 Dior lipglasses back when I was a sophomore in highschool because I thought they were so pretty… but now I realized that they were expensive and I would never pay that much for lipglasses since they’re less than $30 but more than $25.

  16. Sass

10 bucks and under. I get my lipgloss from the CCO or on clearance.

  17. Andrea

Well the most expensive one I have bought is a Dior gloss, 24.50
It depends on if the color is amazing haha! I don’t really know how high I would go though. but I voted $25 or under.

  18. Senga

the most expensive lip gloss i’ve bought is Cle de peau 60$ loved

  19. the most expensive lipgloss i have spent on is Chanel glossimer & it’s definitely worth it!

  20. vinna

Chanel glossimers …. they retail for $46 in Australia T-T so i’ve started getting friends to buy from the US for me lol

  21. Caroline

I’ve purchased NARS lipglosses, so I can’t say $20 is my limit, but now I’d say it is.

love the ysl glosses,, think its worth saving for the purchase,,,

With the exception of drugstore lip stains, I buy all of my lip products from mineral makeup companies because I prefer their formulas, ingredients, and low prices. As such, $4 or under is ideal. I’m still willing to pay for lip products up to $6. Over $7 is really pushing it. I absolutely hate the stickiness of polybutene/polyisobutene/isobutene that comprises most drugstore and high-end lipglosses. I see no reason to shell out tons of money for formulas that I can’t tolerate.

  24. Taj

There would be extra allowance when it comes to KP and RMK lip glosses. Worth every penny =)

  25. Karla

The most I’ve spent is the price of the dazzleglass from MAC… no idea how much it was. But usually I won’t spend more then 20 dollars on a lipgloss. Face products are a whole other story…lol

  26. Rio

I won’t spend more than 10 on a lipgloss, generally. Lipgloss is one of those things I tend to cheap out on, mostly because I don’t wear it that often anyway.

  27. Bridgette

Most I have spend was on YSL’s Golden Gloss which was $29 and Chanel’s which was $27 i think. And both were worth it!

  28. Dimitra

Make up is so expensive in Australia.
The most I’ve spent on a gloss is roughly $50.
We pay at least 2 times more for cosmetics here compared to America.

  29. Rebecca

I am slightly ashamed to say I spent $57 on one jus this past month. Insane, I know…

  30. Lara

I am quite picky with my lipglosses. Occasionally, I do come across nice drugstore finds. However, more often I end up buying from the higher-end counters. I put $40 and under as my acceptable range, since I have spent $33 CAD on Chanel lipglosses numerous times. I’ve also spent $37 CAD in a Dior lip maximizer before as well.
