I’ve started getting involved in swapping, especially for sought-after items.

  2. nicole

    swap them on

Me too! Just started swapping on MUA, and it’s such a great idea! But I also keep the pretty/collectable ones even if I don’t use them much. I sometimes give some to my sister/mum too, and very very occasionally I’ll even throw some out (only the very old dodgy ones though!). :)

  4. I put them in a seperate traincase, and leave it there.

  5. It really depends on the product. Some I will swap out, some I will give away to friends or family… but I rarely toss anything in the garbage (unless it has gone off)

If it’s a powder product, such as eye shadow or blush, I’ll put them aside for a while to see if my interest in them returns. I go through moods where I’m into either warmer or cooler shades as the seasons change. Sometimes I even forget about things for long enough that when I finally “discover” them again it’s like Christmas again lol

I usually give it to my mom or my neice. Unless it’s not good anymore then I throw it away.

I’ll try to load them off on my mom or my sister. If not they go into my “I don’t know why I wasted my money on this…” train case.

Swap them on MUA or toss if they’re too far gone.

  10. Julia

I keep them for a bit and if I still don’t use it and it hasn’t gone bad, then I swap it

Okay, I falsified my vote. I chose “Toss it”; but, I really know that I keep them. I just never know if I’ll need them eventually.

  12. Mishy

Give them to my mom. If she doesn’t like then, then swap them on MUA

  13. Brenda

I either keep it if I like it even though I don’t use
    Give to my mom/aunt/sister
Swap it away (usually this one)
    Back to mac it

  14. Rae

I don’t like to keep too many things in general. So anything including makeup is given to my family in the Philippines and to my husbands step sisters who come from a family who has been suffering financially for, well, forever.

7 kids, 1 parent working, and an at home mom… do the math! It’s not fun being a teen in that situation b/c it’s that age where you want things you don’t need. And if you don’t get it, you end up stealing (I was like, lol). So I lavish those girls with great makeup.

^^ Opps, I ment “I was like that”. Referring to stealing as a teen.

  17. Jennifer

I put them up for swap at MUA

I keep a lot of unloved products stored in plastic bins under my vanity area, and from time to time I’ll go through them and rediscover a few things.

There are some products I might not use again, but I usually can’t justify throwing them out unless they’ve gone bad (or if they were especially horrible). I used to swap a lot away on MUA, so that was helpful. Of course I’ll still purge my stash every once in a while.

I think everyone has the drawer of doom, all those products that you were so excited to get…and then so disappointed. In mine theres Givenchy, MAC, Clinique, Dermalogica…so its an expensive drawer, nonetheless!
