It was sort of a trick question for me because I didn’t know if you meant “clean” or “wash”. I clean them with brush cleaner every few days, depending on how much use and color they’re getting. I shampoo and reshaped them about every two weeks.
I just recently started worrying about cleaning my brushes. For the past few weeks or so, my eyes have been irritated (itchy, and felt like there was some weird kinda film or dust in them when there wasn’t). And I haven’t changed any of the products I’ve used near my eyes (shadows, primers, moisturizers, etc). Eventually I figured out it was probably because of my brushes not being clean, so I bought some antibacterial cleaner from sephora, and cleaned them up. My eyes are fine now, thank goodness. That experience completely freaked me out, so now I make sure I clean them every other day.
I wash all of my brushes once a week with baby shampoo, but I clean my eye brushes everyday with a wet babywipe (w/o oil) and face brushes with brush cleaner.
I wash my eyeliner brush every time I use it and my foundation and concealer brush every couple of times I use them.
The shadow brushes I wash on an as needed basis. I probably should wash them more often.
I also only wear make up on the weekends if we are going out, as I’m lucky to work at home and the cats and my husband don’t care if I am made up or not *wink*
I really should wash them more often. I chose once a month. I always forget to do it.
I wash my face and cheek and eyeliner brush every day.
but have tons of shadow brushes, and wash the ones i used, once a week or when i need a certain one.
I do a quick clean of my eyeshadow and blush brushes with brush cleaner and a paper towel every time I do my makeup. My foundation & concealer brushes I wash with my face wash before every use. I do a deep clean to disinfect with brush cleaner or Master’s Brush Cleaner for art brushes at least once a month and after every freelance gig.
