I get mine waxed every 6-8 weeks or so. I see Natalie @ Fantasy Nails in Eastridge Mall (San Jose, CA). I’ve been seeing her for 10+ years & she’s always given me a great shape, not to thin, arched, etc. I’m serious ’bout my brows, so even though I live about an hour from SJ, I still make the trek down there just to get them done.

I said I wax, but to be more precise, the woman at the nail salon waxes, tweezes, then trims them. In between time, I tweeze the random hairs that pop up.

Hey sweetie. Just to let you know – I was interviewed by a finnish magazine a while back and named your blog as one of my faves. They put your url in the mag – you can see the clipping here: http://bjooti.net/wp-content/uploads//2008/07/trendi2.jpg Look in the bottom right-hand corner, and you’ll see it right there.

Hey!
Thank you!! I’m so honored :) Could you translate it for me by any chance? I actually had someone mention this to me a week or so ago, but I had no clue what it said and couldn’t see it (so the scan is great!).

I wax at home or have a friend do it, then I maintain by tweezing. I end up only waxing every other month or so.

I thread, and sometimes I maintain between threadings with with a straight edged razor. My daughter prefers that I tame her brows with the razor. I used to wax before I discovered threading, and I temporaily picked it back up when I first relocated, until I could find a salon that threads. My daughter doesn’t suffer for beauty-she hates waxing, tweezing, and threading, so…

Waxing makes a much cleaner look that you simply can’t get with tweezing (unless maybe you have the time to block the shape out with white liner beforehand).

I wax every month or two (my brows seem to grow paaainfully slowly) and i tweeze for maintenance in between waxings. I have to be careful though, because I am trying to let some brow grow back in, as I am a notorious over-plucker. I want a more natural shape, but for some reason once i get those tweezers in my hand i just can’t stop!

Luckily, I don’t have to wax, tweeze, or thread. I like my brows. There not at all bushy, and they arch just the right way. I know girls who shave their brows, and I hate the way it looks, especially when the hair starts to grow back in. It so ugly because the hairs grow in darker. I’m just thankful that my brows are one less thing for me to worry about.

I thread my brows when they get too messy/out of shape, but I try to keep on top of them with the tweezers. Wax is never going to touch my eyebrows – I have an insane fear of wax on my face!

I get them waxed when they get too much for me to handle (every few months), or there’s an occasion where I want them to be sharp. Between the waxing, I just keep them tidy with tweezing.
Last experience was not good though, I wanted to smack the woman.. so, I’m definitely not in a hurry to go back.

I don’t wax them myself but I get it done. Right now I’m taking the summer off because my brows were getting too thin and since I have very blond eyebrows you can’t see them very well in the summer. So a few strays won’t matter.

I have a girl friend who does the brow trimming free lance, and every other month I go to the shop she works, and she trims my brows with scissors, and then pluck the stray ones away (all for free). And the end results, my brows look so defined, and really frame my face.

I wax them on my own.I dont prefer anyone doing my eyebrows esp,coZ i dont wana take any kinda risk of reddnes or swelling..Its way more safe than proffessionaly.

I have perm. eyebrows that I get touched up every year or so… I then use a professional shaper that I get from my artist… I just shape around them every day and it gets all the strays that grow outside the lines… SO simple. Best money I ever spent. Natural looking too.

I tweeze every day, and trim when needed once in a while.
