All the time if I can tell they deserve it. I don’t look at someone’s make-up and judge them for it. I’m very talented at doing make-up but what I really can’t stand is people who will shove it others faces if theirs is better. Some people have the knack for it, some people don’t. Some people want to learn, some people just wing it. No one deserves negativity for the way they present themselves.

It depends. Usually you can spot other Makeup Junkies, and you can tell whether or not they would appreciate a compliment. And like others have said, you never know how a non-Makeup Junkie would take a compliment. In these cases, I usually tell someone “oh, that COLOR looks great on you! what is it?” This way you are less likely to get a strange reaction, since you’re complimenting the COLOR rather than the MAKEUP, lol.

I would if I noticed something I really liked on a person. I compliment my daughters when I think they have done a good job on there makeup. They are 21 and 12 and like to experiment. Nobody I know experiments where I work or my family. It’s the same thing day after day and the bare minimum it seems.

Yes, a few times…especially if I like the color of their lipgloss or lipstick.

sometimes…it depends on what…if it’s not something outside of what the person normally wears day to day, it might seem strange to call attention to it – like the post above regarding mascara….but something like a new lipcolour or shade of eyeshadow, or a completely different look is much easier.

I have a rule… or goal for the day. I try to compliment three different people (usually strangers) every day. When a stranger notices that you look nice it just gives them that extra boost of confidence, I feel. They always brighten up and walk away appreciated. People don’t compliment one another enough so I just go for it.
