    Only to trim and shape them…. sometimes I might even buff them – I never paint them!

    I have long natural nails that I maintain weekly :) I usually only paint once in a while or get manicures for special occasions, especially since polish can be harsh when worn all the time, but I always keep a moisturizing treatment on them and shape weekly. Keeps them looking great! :)

    I seriously love nailpolish, but I’m an artist & a climber, so between those two activies, my hands take quite a beating. I only wear nailpolish once a month or so because it never lasts long, but trust me if it did last longer I would wear it all the time!

      I super recommend Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear. They last forever! And they’re around $2 at Walmart and such.

    I do my toenails about once every two weeks, and I always have polish on. (I know I shouldn’t, but I have so much polish and I want to wear it all!) I never get manicures or pedicures because I’m wary of getting a fungal infection. I know way too many people who have, even at reputable places. But I do a damn fine job myself! Or I make a girlfriend come over and we’ll do each other’s toes (I have stylist/esthetician friends so this works out really well).

    I’m a nurse, so I can’t wear polish on my fingernails. I keep them short because I play the guitar and cello. But I shape them every week and care for the cuticles often.

    Does anyone keep their polish in the fridge? I keep hearing it’s a good idea but I don’t have enough room for my whole collection in there!

    I always have polish on my toenails, and it usually lasts for a few weeks before I either have to start over because it chipped, or because I got tired of the color. I do my fingernails maybe once a week, if that… they never last as long! At the very least, I try to keep them neat and trimmed.

    I usually just go to the salon and get mine done. Just recently I started fresh – white tipped solar gel nails. :)

    Pretty often because my family owns a nail salon. Before that I wasn’t even interested in getting my nails done.

    I do my nails once a week with either opi nail envy or a red color or sheer pink color. I try and keep them filed neatly and the cuticles neat or else i will pick non stop! I LOVE the diamacel files. Spendy ,but they last. Then i load up on hand cream. By the way, has anybody tried Estee Lauders smoothing hand cream thats $45?

    It really depends on my mood :P But generally once a week… and if I paint them I try not to keep them on my nails for too long. 3-5 days max.

    I never used to do my nails because they would just chip in a day or so. But then… I discovered Seche Vite top coat! This stuff is a miracle product: it’s a fast dry topcoat so your nails will be completely dry in minutes, and then extends the life of my polish for days. I’ve had some OPI colors with the Seche Vite topcoat last for five or six days with no chips! I’m telling you, it’s the best product. I get mine at Sally’s.

    during the summer, I get mani-pedis once or twice a month, depending on money/time restraints. In the winter, I rarely do, just moisturize everyday. Of course I’m not counting clipping/filing, THAT I do as needed, lol!
