I don’t understand.. I thought these were available as early as March because I had already purchased 2 of them – Boy and Misia.
And Misia isn’t even on the list?!

  2. Jo

I bought Chance a couple of days ago (they’re already on counters in the UK) and I’m in love! I can’t get over how moisturising these lipsticks are. Very sheer but definitely buildable and lovely for summer.

    • Amber

      To Jo:

How would you compare them to the new Dior Kiss sheer lippies?

    • Vania

Oh, I am in love with these!!! I got Chance first and it is fabulous, very moisturizing, beautiful shiny finish, and the color is so feminine and pretty… and it is buildable, I don’t know about the other shades, but I actually think that chance and evasion (which i also have) have a good color pay off (way better than the new dior addict, for instance). This is a HG for me already!

  3. I bought Boy just because it was a pre-release. I didn’t expect to love it as much as I do! I can’t wait to start collecting them all!

  4. Tina

I cheated and bought Chance at the duty free on my honeymoon. I wore it almost every day. I wish I bought a couple more since I love the formula. Well, it’s on its way here.

  5. This looks amaaazing.

  6. Svetlana

They are all already available in Europe. :)

  7. Luna

Will you be reviewing all of these shades?

  8. Liv

They’ve been out in Europe for a while now, so I got Boy and I really love it! I really like the texture a lot!

  9. Angelcat47

The colors are lovely…I see at least five I’d love to try.

  10. absolutely love my Rouge Shine-I have Boy and Elise and will probably be purchasing more!

  11. baby in a corner

I swatched these and personally I’m not interested – they are extremely sheer and light in pigment.

  12. Pawsha

Rivage and Royallieu on not on the list either.

  13. Tiffany

These look soooo tempting! But I feel like if I buy one, I’ll be entering the world of high end lipstick and will never go back. My wallet is glaring at me.

I am in love with Boy. Can’t wait to try the others.

  16. Ruth

I bought 2 of them today, Rebelle & Monte-Carlo. I absoloutely love them, want more !

  17. El

I got Boy during the pre-release and love it. However, I find the texture very similar to the MAC sheen supremes, with the sheen supremes being longer lasting and better pigmentation. With Boy, I felt like I had to reapply too often. Maybe the darker colors won’t have this problem? Just my two cents… I do think I’ll pick up a couple more.

  18. Linda

These are out already at Macys valley fair

    Saw them wed

    • Cristina

Yeah…they’re out for pre-orders but you won’t get them until next week the 4th or 5th of April, I believe.

  19. Frances

I’m so excited for this. I almost forgot about it’s existence, then you posted this. :D

  20. Andrea

Love these—got two of them two weeks ago (Canada) and both The Bay and Holt Renfrew have shades exclusive to their respective stores.

  21. Martyna

Am I the only one who isn’t excited about these? They won’t really show up on my lips… :/

  22. kelly

i don’t normally go for shimmer but… i need one of these..

  23. I have Aventure and yesterday i bought Évasion. I love these two colors.
    In Germany they are 27,50 €, that would be 39 $ !! :(

  24. Friederike

Absolutely wonderful – they feel amazing on my lips and the colors are soo gorgeous! I bought Fetiche and think about some more colors:) The lipsticks are already available in Europe since March.

  25. Niamh

These babies have been out in France for a while. Got Boy and Bonheur. LOVE them!!!

  26. kiran

I’m so in love with the shades…i want them all!

  27. Kathryn

I love the idea of these lipsticks. When they came out in Canada I bought two colours, Evasion and Romance. However, the staying power is minimal which normally wouldnt bother me, but the product itself feels so thin that any moisture in the lipstick evaporates very quickly on the lips and takes moisture from my lips too. I’m just very disappointed that a $40 CDN lipstick horribly dries out my lips. This is saying a lot because I can usually wear any lipstick or stain without being bothered by any drying feeling. :( I will continue to use these and try to find a way to make them work. Mixing them with lip balm only sheers out the colour so much that it is not noticable.

    • Lisa

      Ash:

I agree with you. The colors are beautiful but it does dry out the lips. I’ve been paring mine with Lancome Juicy Tubes and it has been working fine for me, the color lasts and my lips are moisturized and not tight.

I actually looked at these briefly this morning at my local perfumerie. They look so nice – looking forward to reviews!

One thing Christine – you have deleted two comments of mine on some older posts. Did I say something wrong or what’s happened? I feel pretty discouraged in commenting when they don’t even get posted. I hope I didn’t say something wrong or anything but all I did was ask a couple of questions et cetera :-)

    Lovely site all the same!

    • Hey Ash,

I don’t have any comments of yours in the trash? I don’t have any pending from you either. Do you know what posts they were by any chance? I only delete comments if they’re spam or trolling comments but not if you just ask a relevant question! It’s possible they got marked as spam and our spam deletes every few hours but let me know!

      • Ash

I commented on “Chanel Holiday 2008 Beiges de Chanel Quad Pictures & Swatches” & “Dior Gris-Gris (034) Eyeshadow Palette Review, Photos, Swatches”. It was a while back though – not like a couple of hours ago.

I was just asking relevant questions, yeah – which is why I was surprised to see them deleted. Thanks for getting back to me though :-)

        • I definitely don’t seem ‘em but I do have a few other comments from you (the earliest being one left on 12/25/10) so I have no idea what happened. If you still have questions, I’d be happy to answer! :) So sorry about that!

I tested last Thursday at Parisian Sephora to have an idea. And I’ll skip it. Why? I don’t like sheer lipstick due to the fact that I’ve hyperpigmented lips. A friend of mine bought the coco shine in boy which is the spring trend here in France, apparently. She loves it for its sheer effect, I hate it for its sheer effect. Comme quoi… Salut

  30. Eileen

I’m in the US and was lucky enough to get three Shines from Nordstrom on-line before someone realized they weren’t supposed to be for sale yet and pulled them from the site. I bought Chance, Aventure, and Evasion. All three are lovely. Those of you who prefer long wearing and opaque pigments for your lips won’t like these at all, but those of you who like glosses and balms will be very pleased with them.

Karla Sugar’s The Next Best Thing to Going Shopping has swatches of all the colors.

  31. Jessica

    ooh…prettty
but not too sure if I like then new packaging….it’s kind of like their fancy way of saying here’s less product in a smaller container….or are you getting the same amount as before? hmm well either way, thanks again Christine!

  32. Jennifer

I just bought Bonheur today during the presale. I tried on like 5 or 6 of them before deciding on it. These feel sooo awesome on the lips! Can’t wait to get it in the mail!

  33. Annalisa ♥

In Italy they are all available from March. I bought Boy (on February, the pre-release) and Monte-Carlo (at the beginning of march) and I really really love them!!!! They are not really long lasting but they are sooo hydrating and smooth… ♥

  34. TT

In Vancouver, Canada, I bought all of mine when they were first launched.. (last week of February) and at the same time, they were giving out chanel bangles for every 2 coco shines purchased. I’m surprised it took so long for the rest to be released! They are definitely very VERY sheer and I have pigmented lips, and the colour barely shows..

  35. Faye

I bought four of them last Monday — Boy, Rebelle, Monte-Carlo, and Liberte. I love this formulation — it’s pigmented and lasts a decent amount of time, but feels super-moisturizing (but not goopy). And the colors are great. I’m thinking of buying some more, actually. Two thumbs up for Chanel on this one! These are a huge improvement over the Aqualumieres.

    • Christine

Darn you guys, you’ve talked me into putting yet another hit on my bank account to go out and buy these! :-) Seriously, though, thank you very much for the input, I was thinking of getting these and now I have a better idea of what they’re like.

  36. Kaylee

Ahhh! I hate it when there’s a new collection of lipsticks released & a lot of them are similar in shade. Overwhelming & tough to make a decision! But I’m going to have to get a couple of these. :D

    • Christine

Hi everyone, I just bought two of these–Deauville and Cavaliere (as you can probably tell, I like the browns and nudes). I think I’m in love! I normally like more pigmented lipsticks, but love the sheer formula of these. It gives nice color payoff, not too overpowering but still giving some color. It’s also got the most beautiful, moisturizing formulation without being goopy or sticky, like another reviewer said. Highly recommend going to your local counter and giving it a try.

  37. Shannon

These look amazing of course, but are they all limited edition or part of the permanent collection now? (Boy in particular :) )
