Chanel Attirance Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss
Chanel Attirance Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss

Chanel Attirance Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss ($32.00 for 0.28 fl. oz.) is described as a “coppery beige.” It’s a peach and copper-shimmered orange-brown. It’s orange without being loudmouth orange; it’s not neon or bold, as the orange is tempered by warm brown undertones. Bobbi Brown Canary is more golden, less color in its base. Chanel Calypso is redder, more opaque, and less shimmery. MAC Secret Identity is a bit more orange. NARS Hopi is browner.

Attirance has semi-opaque color coverage; there’s a lot of shimmer, while the base color adds warmth and gives lips a more orange appearance. I still saw some translucency to the color, so I wouldn’t call it opaque, though the formula is supposed to be “color-rich,” non-sticky, and have “high-shine.” Chanel nailed the glossiness; Attirance is incredibly high-shine and reflective. It has comfortable, long-wearing (five hours), and hydrating feel on the lips.

product

Attirance

This formula is always a nice one to test, because it wears well, long, and hydrates lips from start to finish. Attirance lacks some of the pigment you'd expect from this range, but it's not too far off.

  1. Looks good! I even like the sparkle in it (which I usually don’t).

I just love this range, and Attirance (a well-chosen name!) speaks to me (I have Calypso and I love it to pieces, so a second gloss that’s a bit like it would be a good thing). I thought it was limited edition though?
I also like how the colour of the gloss compliments that of your earrings, Christine!

I’m not really a gloss person, but I might give this a try. Looks good on you, Christine. :)

don’t like coppery/shimmery lipsticks… not even if ther’re named Chanel. Sorry.

  5. Danielle

Christine, I LOVE LOVE LOVE your earrings!

  6. After reading this review (and seeing how longwearing Chanel glosses seem to be) I’ve decided I want to get one and try it out… I don’t have any Chanel counters near me so I will be ordering one online. Do you know of any they have that are similar to MAC’s Cultured or Bountiful? Those are the kind of colors I usually go for. Thanks!

It’s like nars sandpiper but with a twist of orange.

  8. Liz

I’m really surprised that you mentioned BB Canary as a close match. They’re really quite different looking if you ask me.

  9. I like the color of this Chanel gloss. But I’m always wary of glosses being sticky, especially if they are meant to last awhile :/ HATE stickiness on myself!

This is really pretty, and I love the formula, but I think it may be too warm toned for me.

  11. Jaime M.

so pretty, but that price point is RIDICULOUS. I have 2 tubes of gloss similar to that , i got them for about $3..:/.. one is by black radiance ( same co as wet n wild) and sinful colors which can be found at walgreens too

Don’t really like glosses but the MAC oh, oh, oh betty lipstick looks like a similar (but more opaque) coverage to me.

As allways another pretty product from Chanel :D however I´m more interested in buying Rouge Allure gloss in Emoi right now, but still this is nice.

  14. I love this lip gloss formula SO much! I really need to buy more shades from this range. This color is gorgeous! Maybe it will be my next one! :D

Hey Christine I was wondering if this leaves a gritty feeling on your lips like a lot of shimmery glosses do?

  16. I wonder how this one is compared to Nars Gold Digger Larger than Life l/g… are they different enough to justify owning both???

I just got this and it’s gorgeous! Chanel Rouge Allure glosses are by far the best I’ve tried!
