Chanel Pygmalion (467) Rouge Coco Shine

Chanel Pygmalion (467) Rouge Coco Shine ($34.00 for 0.10 oz.) is described as a “raspberry.” This is a warm, coral-pink with a soft, barely-there shimmer-sheen with a glossy shine. If I had to describe it as a fruit, I would call it more of a watermelon shade–not raspberry. Maybelline Shocking Coral is much bolder/brighter and mor eintense in color but is related. MAC Lady at Play is more orange/coral. MAC Ablaze is more orange and matte. Guerlain Nahema has more shimmer. MAC Hibiscus is redder. MAC Ultra Darling is comparable.

Chanel Eden (437) Levres Scintillantes Glossimer

Chanel Eden (437) Levres Scintillantes Glossimer ($29.50 for 0.19 fl. oz.) is described as a “translucent raspberry.” It’s a shimmer-free pink-tinted gloss. On lips, it gave my lips a slightly pinker tint (and looked very much like Evolee once applied, but there’s a decrease in the warmth added). There is a number of sheer glosses that are similar to this.  I wish Chanel would consider releasing a better variety in intensity/opacity within a collection.

shu uemura OB Dream Orange Rouge Unlimited Supreme Shine

shu uemura OB Dream Orange Rouge Unlimited Supreme Shine ($30.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a softened orange with warm, peach and tangerine shimmer and a glossy finish. Clarins Sunset Rouge is a bit darker, less opaque. Chanel Sari Dore is a bit brighter, redder in tone. Guerlain Orange Euphorique is also redder in tone. I think Chanel La Pausa comes the closest–if you applied gloss over it.

MAC RiRi Woo Lipstick

MAC RiRi Woo Lipstick ($15.00 for 0.10 oz.) is described as a “matte cool red [with a retro matte finish].” It’s a deep, medium-dark red with strong cool undertones and a matte finish. MAC Ruby Woo is absolutely similar–it’s very, very similar. RiRi Woo is inspired by Ruby Woo, but the difference is very slight–there’s a noticeable difference in darkness and undertone when the two are swatched side-by-side, but applied, it is incredibly difficult to tell.
