Bobbi Brown Electric Violet High Shimmer Lipgloss

Bobbi Brown Electric Violet High Shimmer Lipgloss ($23.00 for 0.24 fl. oz.) is described as a “pink with violet pearl.” It’s a semi-opaque medium-dark pink with fuchsia-pink shimmer and a glossy shine. It’s a little cooler-toned (more fuchsia) compared to MAC Dare to Dare, so MAC If It’s Pink comes a bit closer but still pinker. MAC Totally Bang is also similar but darker.

MAC Tour de Fabulous – Lipglasses Preview Swatches

MAC Tour de Fabulous may sound new, but it’s actually MAC Glamglass. The collection was renamed, and I imagine the reason is that all of the shades that were going to come out of Glamglass (a new formula) have been made as the Lipglass formula. There are also eight lip pencils, and all of the lipglasses and lip pencils are limited edition as far as I know, but there’s no official press release so it’s been just a touch confusing to say the least! This collection is slated to launch in-stores on December 26th. I am missing Check This Out & Fabulously Fab!, which I am working on getting soon!

MAC for Daphne Guinness Cremesheen Glasses

MAC Cremesheen Glass ($18.50 for 0.09 oz.) sees the launch of four shades as part of the Daphne Guinness collection (due in-stores on December 26th). The four shades are: Borealis (pale gray pink with iridescent pearl), Japanese Spring (pale dirty pink), Narcissus (dirty eggplant), and Richly Revered (deep brown plum). They’re all limited edition, though Richly Revered is a repromote and still available online now from when it last launched.

Bobbi Brown Plum Gold High Shimmer Lip Gloss

Bobbi Brown Plum Gold High Shimmer Lipgloss ($23.00 for 0.24 fl. oz.) is described as a “plum with bronze pearl.” It’s like a deep, berry red with gold shimmer. The color coverage is semi-opaque, and this particular shade does settle into lip lines a bit and doesn’t apply perfectly even, unfortunately, though I think both things are less noticeable at a normal viewing distance. For someone who loves the color, you could also consider layering it over a lipstick, which will minimize both issues. Chantecaille Patina is not as berry, more of a red. MAC Lasting Achievement is more opaque and berry hued. It’s very similar to Dolce & Gabbana Amethyst but Plum Gold has the gold shimmer.
