NARS Unlawful Blush
NARS Unlawful Blush ($30.00 for 0.16 oz.) is described as an “amber pink with silver pearls.” It’s a muted, rosy-brown with warm undertones and silver shimmer and slight silver sparkle. Becca Lychee/Opal (P, $27.00) is more shimmery, cream. MAC Sea Me, Hear Me (LE, $25.00) is darker, slightly warmer. Maybelline Barely Pink (202) (LE, $8.99) is lighter, sheerer, cream. Revlon Naughty Nude (006) (P, $9.99) is browner. Chanel Accent (84) (LE, $45.00) is browner, darker. Benefit Rockateur (P, $28.00) is less shimmery, slightly rosier. MAC Stylish Me (LE, $21.00) is darker. MAC Peachtwist (P, $21.00) is more shimmery. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
It’s a new (and permanent!) shade from NARS’ upcoming fall collection (launches online on July 15th). The powder felt soft, finely-milled, and fairly smooth when applied. It had good color payoff, but it builds nicely to true-to-pan coverage if desired. Initially, there seemed to be soft, silver sparkle strewn through the powder (not too much but noticeable), but applied, I really didn’t see any bits of sparkle whatsoever. The resulting finish was quite subtle–a soft, lightly luminous finish that didn’t emphasize pores. On me, the color lasted for eight hours before fading.
