Philosophy First Snow Set ($26.00) is a three-piece set featuring Snow Shower exfoliating shower gel (4 oz.), Snow Body Shimmer Lotion (2 oz.), and Snow Kiss Lip Shine (0.5 oz). The Snow Shower is a glittery gel that exfoliates and sloughs off rough skin without being rough. I’d consider it a gentle body exfoliator. The Snow Body Shimmer Lotion is adorable; it’s such a fun product to use when you want to pamper yourself. The shimmer went on subtly, which is great, because while I love some body shimmer, I don’t want a glittery hot mess either! I love, love, LOVE Philosophy’s Lip Shines (you know how some people obsess over Juicy Tubes? Lip Shines for me!). It’s not surprising that Snow Kiss is a nice low key choice. It’s a sheer, shimmery gloss with blue-toned glimmer. It’s kind of like frost/ice in a sense. There’s a scent/flavor to it; I’m not exactly sure what it is… reminds me almost of raspberry lemonade.

Ojon Tawaka “The White Ball” has launched just in time for the winter season (only available at Sephora)–that’s right, it’s white. Be sure to read my original review of The Ball here for insight on what I thought about the original (so you have a point of comparison). ”The White Ball” produces a creamy lather designed to help moisturize skin, often prone to dryness during the winter time. Unlike “The Ball,” this version has no real scent. I would say you might notice a starchy, rice-like scent if anything–but that’s really only if you’re trying to find a scent.
“The Ball” has Ojon’s signature cocoa-rich scent while “The White Ball” lacks any identifying scent. “The Ball” is designed to be more of a body buffing product, while “The White Ball” adds moisture and leaves skin feeling clean and smooth. Both the consistency and color of the product while being used is milky. It’s easy to get confused between the two, but they are distinctly different products that do different things. They might have the same shape and come with the same wooden bowl, but otherwise, don’t lump them together!
Like the original, I find this to be an indulgence. It’s a product you splurge on, something to use when you want to prolong your shower by pampering and rolling away every stressful thought. The ball shape is meant to be rolled over the skin, which simultaneously gives you a little massage while you clean! Bonus points for this one not leaving any residue on your shower!

Jergens Naturals has a line of daily moisturizers utilizing a natural approach. These moisturizers contain over 90% natural ingredients while still being effective. The moisturizers use vegetable-derived ingredients leaving them paraben-free. (As a side note, Jergens does not test on animals.) The new line comes in Hydrate, Renew, Soothe, and Refresh. All but Hydrate have 93% natural ingredients (while Hydrate has 92%).
I need me some ultra hydrating moisturizer come winter (especially for my dragon legs), so I opted for Hydrate ($8.49). It contains jojoba oil, agave and cactus extracts. What I like about it is how moisturizing it is without leaving me greasy OR taking ten minutes to sink in fully. I can apply it after my shower, blow-dry my hair (which takes about five minutes or so), and it’s already dry. It’s lightly scented with a scent I can’t quite put my finger on–it’s sort of a fresh, salad-y scent in a way. It’s not that yucky scent often accompanied by organic/natural products (you know, like a compost pile!), though, that’s for sure!
When it comes to keeping my skin soft all over, I often opt for drugstore brands like Jergens (they make one of my summer staples–their shimmer body lotion!). With the holidays coming up and the economy in a crunch, Jergens Naturals Moisturizers are an awesome budget-friendly option!

Soap & Glory is one of my favorite brands for everything body and deliciously scented. They recently launched their Spa Collection, which is a pretty hefty launch of products (13 in all!). For my scaly legs, I looked into Peachy Cream Big Butter Body Butter ($14.99; on sale for $13.49 right now). Talk about peachykeen! It’s richly scented with the aroma of peaches and cream (pretty much a given), which I did find a bit overwhelming at first. After I worked it into my legs and it dried, the scent lingered enough to notice, but it wasn’t overpowering like it was in the beginning. I find Soap & Glory’s body butters incredibly moisturizing, and the effects can still be felt the next day! You get a huge tub that should last you several months–but at the very least, get you through winter. I also tried two other products from the new launch (Easy Glistening Dry Oil Body Gloss and Endless Glove 2-in-1 Hand Cream), which I’ll review soon enough! But nothing has been disappointing in the least bit. I’m tempted to head down to Target (always a dangerous adventure) to look into their Blueberry Thrill Body Butter–I love blueberries–as well as their Heel Genius Foot Mask for the feets.

Soap & Glory is my new favorite budget bath & body line. In my shower product post, I told you how I adore their Flake Away Body Polish. It’s an awesome salt-based scrub that works wonders on your skin, gently exfoliating and sloughing off all of the dead skin cells. I also tried their Righteous Body Butter Lotion, which has the same scent as their Flake Away scrub. I often will apply this rich body lotion after my shower, because it’s quite moisturizing, and it reinforces the scent and smell of the scrub. I actually got my boyfriend to use this on his rough spots (elbows, mostly), who would have thought? I like the products I’ve tried from the brand, and I hope to try out more in the future. I know many of you expressed an interest in more drugstore reviews/coverage, so consider this in that direction
Soap & Glory is available exclusively at Target. In-store may offer more product selection than online, FYI!

Aveeno is one of my favorite drugstore brands, because it is soothing, gentle, and works when it comes to healing and dealing with incredibly dry skin. My sister and I both suffered from ridiculously dry skin as babies, and this is what our dermatologist recommended (in addition to a prescription medicine–yes, it was that bad!). My sister suffers from dry skin even now, while I’ve lucked out with mostly normal skin (though my legs can get scaly). Aveeno is a brand I trust to help me cope with making sure my legs are dragonscale-free so I can show ‘em off all summer long without scaring away the children!
This summer, I am really loving their Eczema Care Body Wash & Moisturizing Cream ($9.99 each) (not pictured), because these two products are meant to soothe and help with the most intense skin issues. I use these and my legs feel SO soft and hydrated, even as the day wears on. I actually feel pretty good just using the body wash, surprisingly! If I’m running late, I imagine I could probably skip lotioning up if I had to and be okay. Their Stress Relief Foaming Bath ($5.99) is a soothing bath additive to help you come down from the excitement of the day, and the soft notes of lavender and chamomile, along with ylang-ylang, definitely turn a terrible day into one you can cope with. And you know me, I’m a total lip balm junkie, and we often forget to put SPF on our lips, so here’s Essential Moisture ($3.49) to save the day with SPF 15 in a product that keeps my lips moisturized for hours.
