Sultry Sunset: All About Funbathing!
I was completely determined to use Funbathing lipstick, since it’s the only To the Beach lipstick I hadn’t yet used in an actual look. I already had a good idea of what I wanted to do — kind of a smoky berry/burgundy eye — and this is kind of ended up. I didn’t intend for the inner corner to be quite as orange-yellow, but I suppose it works!
May your Saturday be filled with enjoyment!
You will need the following…
- Eyes: NARS Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base (neutral eyeshadow base), MAC Goldmine Eyeshadow (gold), Urban Decay Free Love Eyeshadow (peachy melon), MAC Star Violet Eyeshadow (burgundy brown), MAC Vibrant Grape Eyeshadow (dark plum-grape), MAC Nylon Eyeshadow (white-gold), Make Up For Ever #11 Aqua Cream (metallic gold), MAC Plushlash Mascara (black)
- Face: Make Up For Ever HD Foundation (140), Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder (translucent)
- Cheeks: MAC Get-Away Bronze Blush (reddish bronze), MAC Hipness Blush (coral-pink)
- Lips: MAC Funbathing Lipstick (berry), MAC Easy Lounger Lipglass (soft pink)
- Brushes: 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 226 (fluffy crease brush), 219 (pointed crease brush), 116 (dense blush brush)
- Substitutes: Get-Away Bronze = Format; Hipness = Benefit CORALista; Funbathing = O; Easy Lounger = Prr
For eyes, start by applying Smudgeproof as your eyeshadow base all over the eye area with the 249. Next, apply Star Violet eyeshadow into the crease with the 226, lightly blending onto the outer lid. Define the crease with Vibrant Grape eyeshadow and the 226. Blend Nylon eyeshadow with the crease shade and highlight the brow bone. Bring everything together by applying #11 Aqua Cream on the lower lash line. Finish by sweeping lashes with Plushlash mascara.
For cheeks, apply Hipness blush on the apples of the cheeks and sweep upwards towards the temple with the 116, then lightly pat Get-Away Bronze blush on the cheekbones.
For lips, apply Funbathing lipstick first, and then layer Easy Lounger lipglass for a complementing lip.

Summer Makeup: Molten Lava Goes To the Beach
Happy Thursday, everyone!
I hope everyone’s been having a fantastic week — almost to the weekend (a long one, if you’re in the U.S., too!). I totally went to my comfort zone with this look — metallic, bronzy, coppery shades. I can’t remember if I’ve done a look like this recently, but I don’t think I’ve done it usually mostly permanent eyeshadows! I snuck some To the Beach products in there, in honor of the official launch.
You will need the following…
- Eyes: NARS Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base (neutral eyeshadow base), Urban Decay Free Love Eyeshadow (melon-peach), MAC Firecracker Eyeshadow (reddish coral), MAC Amber Lights Eyeshadow (copper), MAC Bronze Eyeshadow (bronze), MAC Nylon Eyeshadow (white-gold), MAC Goldmine Eyeshadow (gold), MAC Rich Ground Fluidline (copper), Urban Decay Lucky 24/7 Liner (copper), MAC Black Black Chromagraphic Pencil (black), MAC Plushlash Mascara (black)

For eyes, start by applying Smudgeproof as your eyeshadow base all over the eye area with the 249. Lightly blend Firecracker eyeshadow on the outer half of the lid with the 239. Next, apply Bronze eyeshadow into the crease with the 226, lightly blending outwards and upwards to fade to the brow bone. With the 239, apply Amber Lights eyeshadow into the lower crease and then blended towards the outer corner and lid. Blend Nylon eyeshadow with the crease shade and highlight the brow bone. Bring everything together by applying Lucky eyeliner on the lower lash line and Black Black pencil on the lower waterline. Line the upper lash line with Rich Ground fluidline applied with the 208; then pat Goldmine eyeshadow on top to lighten. Finish by sweeping lashes with Plushlash mascara.
For cheeks, apply Get-Away Bronze blush on the apples of the cheeks and sweep upwards towards the temple with the 116.
For lips, apply Thrills lipstick first, and then layer Easy Lounger lipglass for a complementing lip.

Mix & Match with Urban Decay & MAC
Here’s a look I did test-driving NARS’ new eyeshadow base (got a sample of it with a recent Sephora order) and new Urban Decay eyeshadows. Plus, even though I still don’t feel like Lazy Day is a must-have (and I really thought it was going to be higher on the sell out list than it appears to be), it looks super lovely with Splashing.
How’s your Wednesday going so far? What are you having for lunch? (Or what did you have?)
You will need the following…

MAC To the Beach Makeup: Sweet & Punchy, Sand & Sun, Firecracker
Who knew that you could combine a lemon-y green and an orange-coral together and get something so beautiful–with ease! Seriously! I do have a tutorial (well, assuming the filming went OK) for this look coming soon as well. I also included a bit about how I applied the cream bronzer to my cheeks (which is totally easy, I swear).

Bright Makeup: Yellow, Pink, & Purple
I felt like playing around a bit last night, so I ended up with this at the end of playtime! Thought I’d share

Pret-a-Papier Look: Coral Crepe as a Base
I wore this look to photograph lip swatches from Pret-a-Papier yesterday, but here it is in detail
By the by, I prefer the lighter Chromagraphic Pencil on my waterline — the darker one is a bit too subdued and runs a little yellowish on me.
You will need the following…
- Eyes: MAC Soft Ochre Paint Pot (neutral beige base), MAC Coral Crepe Paint Pot (coral), MAC Tissue Weight Eyeshadow (soft white-pink), MAC Bamboo Eyeshadow (matte soft brown), MAC Cut to Fit Eyeshadow (reddish copper), MAC Ricepaper Eyeshadow (neutral highlighter), MAC NC15/NW20 Chromagraphic Pencil (fleshy nude), MAC Almost Noir Pearlglide Eyeliner (black-burgundy), MAC Plushlash Mascara (black)
- Face: Make Up For Ever HD Foundation (140), Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder (translucent)
- Cheeks: MAC Garb Blush (orange-peach)
- Lips: MAC Made to Order Lipstick (pinky coral), MAC Fold and Tuck Lipglass (pink-coral)
- Brushes: 226 (fluffy crease brush), 219 (pointed crease brush), 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 116 (dense blush brush)
- Substitutes: Tissue Weight = Phloof!/Gleam; Cut to Fit = Twinks; Almost Noir = Purple Dash; Garb = Coppertone/Peachtwist; Made to Order = Crosswires (not a great dupe!); Fold and Tuck = Lychee Luxe
For eyes, start by applying Coral Crepe paint pot as your eyeshadow base all over the lid area with the 249, then apply Soft Ochre paint pot as an eyeshadow base from the crease to the brow. Using the 239, apply Tissue Weight eyeshadow on the inner third of the eyelid. Next, apply Bamboo eyeshadow on the middle third of the eyelid and lightly blend with the inner corner. Darken the outer third of the lid with Cut to Fit eyeshadow with the 239, gently brushing it into the lower crease. Lightly blend Cut to Fit eyeshadow, with the 239, on the outer corner and lid. Lightly tap and brush Bamboo eyeshadow directly above the crease to soften. To finish the eyeshadow look, sweep Ricepaper eyeshadow as a highlighter on the brow bone. Bring everything together by applying Almost Noir eyeliner on the lower lash line and NC15/NW20 chromagraphic pencil on the lower waterline. Finish by sweeping lashes with Plushlash mascara.
For cheeks, apply Garb blush to the apples of the cheeks and sweep upwards towards the temple with the 116.
For lips, apply Made to Order lipstick first, and then layer Fold and Tuck lipglass for a complementing lip.
