This is actually an old look I did last December (!), but I thought I’d share since my eyes are still swollen from doing upper lash liner for a few days in a row (which means I’ve been laying off the eye makeup!).

I used Melon pigment on lid, Ochre Style eyeshadow (LE) on inner lid, Daisychain eyeshadow (LE) on middle of lid, A Little Folie eyeshadow (LE) on outer lid and crease, Daisychain eyeshadow (LE) above crease and on brow, Graphblack technakhol, and Plushlash mascara on lashes. I had Margin blush on cheeks. I wore NARS Indian Red/Moon Fleet duo on my lips.

** Substitutions: Ochre Style = Juiced (70% dupe); Daisychain = Nylon (frostier, less yellow); A Little Folie = Folie. BTW, all three are still available via www.maccosmetics.com as of 4/15/08.

This is part of a tutorial that is “coming soon,” about how to go from daytime look to darker daytime look to subtle evening look to dramatic evening look. Yesterday, I posted the kicked up daytime look, and now this an evening look/night time look. The difference? Now we’ve really amped up the crease by using Carbon eyeshadow and going heavier on the black liner. (*Note: for some reason the crease doesn’t look perfectly blended, but in person, it was fine - I kept going back and freaking out over it because it would show up harsher in the photos but then there was nothign to blend away when I looked in the mirror!!)

I used Soft Ochre paint pot all over lid, Blanc Type eyeshadow on inner lid, Bisque eyeshadow on middle of lid, Soft Brown eyeshadow on outer lid and crease, Brun eyeshadow in outer crease, Blanc Type eyeshadow above crease and on brow, Feline kohl power on lower lash line, Brun eyeshadow on brows, and Plushblack mascara on lashes. I wore True Romantic blush on cheeks with Tenderdusk beauty powder to highlight. I had Sweetie lipstick with Dreamy lipglass on my lips.

This is part of a tutorial that is “coming soon,” about how to go from daytime look to darker daytime look to subtle evening look to dramatic evening look. Yesterday, I posted the first version of the look - incredibly neutral, all-matte eyeshadow - and here is the same look kicked up a notch for those who need a little more step in an everyday look. The difference? Simply darkened the crease with Brun eyeshadow!

This is the ultimate daytime look in terms of neutrality and simplicity.  I’m a little disappointed that the full face shot didn’t turn out very true-to-life, because I actually loved how this came out!

I used Soft Ochre paint pot all over lid, Blanc Type eyeshadow on inner lid, Bisque eyeshadow on middle of lid, Soft Brown eyeshadow on outer lid and crease, Blanc Type eyeshadow above crease and on brow, Feline kohl power on lower lash line, Brun eyeshadow on brows, and Plushblack mascara on lashes. I wore True Romantic blush on cheeks with Tenderdusk beauty powder to highlight. I had Sweetie lipstick with Dreamy lipglass on my lips.

I decided I wanted to play with some of my new goodies I’m testing out right now!  You know how I was a bit disappointed in Bobbi Brown’s Nude & Lip palette?  Well, Dior’s Goldfever Quint was much more up my alley.  Given, they’re frostier and shimmery shadows compared to the BB palette, I was able to create an actual LOOK out of it!  Plus, the soft white gold?  Divine.

I used MAC Soft Ochre paint pot on lid, Dior Goldfever Quint center shadow on inner lid, Dior Goldfever Quint bottom left shadow on middle of lid, Dior Goldfever Quint top right shadow on outer lid, Dior Goldfever Quint top left shadow on outer crease, Dior Goldfever Quint bottom right shadow on outer crease and lid, and MAC Black Funk/Pop Blue dual edge liner on lower lash line. I had MAC Brun eyeshadow to fill in brows and MAC Plushblack plushlash mascara on lashes. I wore MAC True Romantic blush with Guerlain Mythic Parfait Pressed Meteorites on cheeks. I had MAC Cherish lipstick (like Fleshpot) with MAC Style Minx lipglass on my lips.

I used several products from Clinique’s upcoming Summer 2008 collections, which are amazing! I adore the Shimmering Tones powder quad, and their new long wearing gloss formula is awesome! I’ll be reviewing the products I tried in more detail in the next two weeks, just in time for their launch in April.

I used Clinique Muffin Quick Eyes Cream shadow on all over lid, MAC Juxt eyeshadow over inner lid, MAC Shimmermoss eyeshadow over middle of lid, MAC Smut eyeshadow on outer lid and crease, MAC Ricepaper eyeshadow above crease and on brow, Clinique Bronze Brush-on Cream Liner on lower lash line, and MAC Graphblack technakohl on lower lash line. I wore Clinique Shimmering Tones Powder Quad on cheeks. I had MAC Sweetie lipstick with Clinique Clearly Pink Long Last Glosswear on lips.

It’s too bad the pictures didn’t do this justice, because it DID come out really nice in person. Just really subtle and softly smoky.  I wanted something super quick and simple, but I wanted something that was noticeable.

I used Ricepaper eyeshadow all over lid, Espresso eyeshadow in outer crease and corner of lid, and Ricepaper eyeshadow above crease. I wore Margin blush on cheeks with Sculpt sculpting powder to contour. I had Gentle Coral tinted lip conditioner on my lips.
