MAC Venomous Villains

MAC Venomous Villains Collection for Disney

U.S. Launch Date: September 30th, 2010 (online as early as 9/27)
International Launch Date: October 2010

A potion to poison, an apple to bite, a spell to cast… Bad never looked so good. A crystal ball of colour created from our favourite Disney Venomous Villains, inspired by the three most infamously frosty, fabulous and formidable of Disney’s dark ladies… and one dastardly Dr. Facilier. Don’t you love it?

A MAC and Disney collaboration to celebrate the dark side in every one of us, in a glamorous sort of way. Who’s the fairest one of all? Four separate mini-collections, in haute animated couture. The incomparable Cruella De Vil and Snow White’s Evil Queen are dazzlingly devilish; Sleeping Beauty’s Maleficent and The Princess and the Frog’s DR. FACILIER, both up to no good on their own. Uniquely designed iconic packaging you will kill for, cunning characters and bedeviled beauties that are so alluring, you can’t help but wonder what it would be like to be one!

Chanel Inimitable Intense Mascara

Chanel Inimitable Intense Mascara

In 2006, CHANEL launched INIMITABLE Mascara Multi-Dimensionnel, revolutionizing the market with the first multi-tasking mascara to deliver volume, length, curl and separation in a single stroke. It also redefined the conventional mascara brush with an innovative applicator comprised of elastomer ‘bristles’ that allowed for a remarkably precise application.

New INIMITABLE INTENSE Mascara Multi-Dimensionnel Sophistiqué builds on the success of the original mascara with a new, technologically advanced formula, delivered with the unique brush. The result is a more intense lash look, with the same easy application. Lashes appear longer, thicker and more curled, yet each lash, even the finest, is still precisely separated — without clumping, spiking or flaking.

Now there are two choices for INIMITABLE lashes: the original formula for a subtle 3D effect, with volume, length and curl — and the new formula for a more intense 3D effect, with greater volume, length and curl.

Inimitable Intense Mascara ($30.00)

  • Brun Brown
  • Rouge Noir Black red
  • Purple Deep violet
  • Noir Black

Chanel Ombres Contraste Duo

Chanel Ombres Contraste Duo / Eyeshadow Duo

New OMBRES CONTRASTE DUO Eyeshadow Duo takes the guesswork out of harmonizing and applying eyeshadow. This foolproof pairing of complementary shades — in two unique textures — is housed in one convenient compact. The softly shimmering light shade is a creamy powder, which can be worn alone for a luminous effect, or as a base to extend the wear of the accompanying deep-toned shadow. The dark shade has intense micronized pigments for true colour application, and a matte finish to create depth and contour. Two applicators are included: a foam tip to apply the shadows and a brush to blend. Available in six essential shade harmonies.

L’Wren Scott for Lancome Collection for Holiday 2010

Come November, designer L’Wren Scott’s collaboration with Lancome will launch. The line includes nail polish ($14.50), lipstick ($29.00), lipgloss ($29.00), eyeshadow palette ($42.00), and mascara ($24.50).

“The first thing I thought of was that I wanted to do my signature red — my bordeaux,” explained Scott, who worked with Lancôme’s artistic director for makeup, Aaron De Mey, on the capsule collection, which includes a red lipstick, lip gloss and nail polish, among other items.

Scott said she told Lancôme executives, “I would like to try to interpret a red lipstick that could be worn from day to night.” Proffering a makeup-stained hand from earlier demonstrations, she showed how the lipstick can look sheer or dark, depending on its application. “And when you put the gloss on, it takes on a whole other life,” said Scott. — WWD
