Urban Decay Book of Shadows Vol. III
Urban Decay Book of Shadows Vol. III

Urban Decay Book of Shadows Vol. III

Sure we’ve all got our different styles (usually not including Carrie-style hotpants and tutus), but just like what we love about NYC, this Book of Shadows is a melting pot of color. The ribbon pull drawer reveals 16 natty eyeshadows, deluxe-minis of our award-winning 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils in Zero and Ransom, and a travel size Eyeshadow Primer Potion.

Inspired by the city, its diversity, and the fact that 8 million people each have their own story, Book of Shadows Vol. III is a tribute from the ultimate California beauty brand to the people and stories that make NYC the apple of our eye. The pop-up book-style palette is loaded with hand-illustrated depictions of the city that never sleeps. We give you glitz and glam alongside characters from all walks of life living amidst the LED-lit (yup…this palette lights up!) landmarks we all love.

Palette contains 16 eyeshadows:

  • Bordello Purpley-pink with gold shift
  • Kush Bright green
  • Loaded Deep emerald/black
  • Money Silvery pale green
  • Radium Bright blue
  • Rockstar Deep eggplant with metallic base
  • Suspect Oyster with dimensional shift
  • Haight Shimmering, mermaid blue (Permanent)
  • Psychedelic Sister Purple amethyst (Permanent)
  • Snatch Peachy-pink with glitter (Permanent)

  • Midnight Cowboy Rides Again Golden beige with bronze, gold, and silver glitter (Permanent)
  • Smog Deep coppery bronze (Permanent)

Also included:

Availability: The palette will retail for $54 and be available this holiday 2010 at Macy’s, Sephora, ULTA, and urbandecay.com. However…

L’Wren Scott for Lancome Collection for Holiday 2010

Come November, designer L’Wren Scott’s collaboration with Lancome will launch. The line includes nail polish ($14.50), lipstick ($29.00), lipgloss ($29.00), eyeshadow palette ($42.00), and mascara ($24.50).

“The first thing I thought of was that I wanted to do my signature red — my bordeaux,” explained Scott, who worked with Lancôme’s artistic director for makeup, Aaron De Mey, on the capsule collection, which includes a red lipstick, lip gloss and nail polish, among other items.

Scott said she told Lancôme executives, “I would like to try to interpret a red lipstick that could be worn from day to night.” Proffering a makeup-stained hand from earlier demonstrations, she showed how the lipstick can look sheer or dark, depending on its application. “And when you put the gloss on, it takes on a whole other life,” said Scott. — WWD

In compliance with a digital takedown notice sent from OPI Products and their lawyer, all OPI images and information have been removed in order to avoid legal action taken against Temptalia.com and its owner by OPI Products.

We will not “fight” this as a legal battle, as we have no desire to further promote nor give our time to a brand who uses their legal team on bloggers as their first line of defense. A simple Google search will turn up dozens of different websites and blogs with the same information we had previously posted.  Our apologies for being unable to serve our readers better.

We have been asked several times regarding this, but OPI did not issue any apology to Temptalia.com.  I’m happy to hear that hopefully some bloggers received apologies, but we did not. We aren’t hiding anything, and why would we?  We have always supported OPI in the past.
