Welcome to Free For Haul Fridays!
A play on Oh No They Didn’t’s “Free For All Fridays,” every Friday is Free For Haul Fridays! Friday is a day for fun — whether you’re already off enjoying your weekend or if you just need a way to get through til the end of the work day, FFH is here for you!
Share your latest beauty hauls! Once you’ve done that… say anything you’d like. Tell us about the greatest thing that happened to you this week, why your pet is the cutest, what you’re doing this weekend… whatever!
First, I’ll share mine!
Haul: Everything from MAC Dare to Wear!
Excited for: Hopefully catching up on some much-needed sleep. And not doing anything – since I’ve felt like there’s been something to do every day for the past two weeks!
Friday plans: Maybe catch a movie, have lunch with my sister.
Do you like your makeup scented? Never? Only certain products? Only certain scents?
I prefer the majority of my makeup to be fragrance-free, though I don’t think I react poorly to it, so it doesn’t bother me. I like my lip products scented, though. I think my favorite scent must be lemon, but I also like vanilla.
What’s the Best Nail Polish…?
What brand/product wins this category? Any particular reason it wins?
How do you budget for your beauty purchases? Do you work it out in advance? Stick to a limit?
I look ahead and see what’s coming out, and then I try to limit my other purchases (entertainment, clothes, shoes, etc.) so I can put more towards the collections/products that interest me most.

- Best eyeliner for summer?
- Best blush for summer?
- Best lipstick/gloss for summer?
How important is packaging to you [in a beauty product]? What do you look for? What about pretty/cute packaging?
First and foremost, I want functional packaging. I want it to be airtight if it needs to be, pump out just enough for one use if that’s the case, and so on. Cute/pretty is nice, but I’d rather functionality and storability – I don’t want tons of excess packaging!
