This whole weekend I’ve been totally jealous of everything attending The Makeup Show in Los Angeles, and I’m really kicking myself for not going! This is something I do every year–the grass is always greener, eh? Nonetheless, instead of wallowing in my jealousy, I’ve been trying to go through my backlog of photos so I can then get through a backlog of reviews. I swear, one day I will be caught up!
How do you decide what scent to wear? Is it based on your mood? The season? What you last bought?
I think it’s mostly mood for me, or perhaps occasion. Of course, some of it is dictated by what I may or may not be testing as well, but I’m not a particularly prolific perfume reviewer so it’s more often a mood-based decision.

No, I don’t think so. I think like anything that is built as a system, you may find it works better or ends up simplifying things, just because the brand has (hopefully) already determined how the components will work together. It takes a little more expertise to mix and match, I’d say, to ensure you’re getting the right stuff in each product without one canceling out the other or overpowering! However, you could make sure you’re using exactly the right products for your hair type/concerns and nothing you don’t!
