The Spring Season: NP Set Mauritius Lipgloss

NP Set Mauritius Lipgloss ($15.00) is a stunning, fiery-orange shimmered peachy-orange gloss. This is truly stunning! It looks gorgeous when swatched, but on lips, the shimmer and shine of the gloss really becomes apparent. I would love this gloss even more if it was just a smidgen more pigmented/vibrant, but the way it shimmers is divine! It’s a fairly creamy gloss so it’s a little on the thicker side (fine with me) and wears a solid three hours on me.

The Spring Season: NYX Chandelier Lipgloss

NYX Chandelier Lipgloss

The Spring Season: NYX Chandelier Lipgloss

NYX Chandelier Lipgloss ($5.50) is a sheer jelly base with just the slightest pink tinge with pale silver and pink shimmer. On lips, it’s a very soft color that delivers mostly a highly shimmered look with a glossy finish. It’s a fun gloss to wear everyday without having to work too hard, but it’s also a nice way to add more shimmer to any of your favorite pink or nude glosses.

The Spring Season: MAC Myth Lipstick

MAC Myth Lipstick ($14.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a pale, flesh-toned slightly peach-pink tinged nude. Myth has a satin finish, which means it has a very creamy, opaque look with a low-level sheen and on shimmer. It gives my lips incredibly full coverage color, and the creaminess gives it a nice, defined look without the aid of a lip liner, too–always a nice bonus! It’s similar to Fleshpot, but it’s not quite as fleshy or as light.  It’s lighter and not as peachy as Peachstock, as well.  They’re in the same family, though!

The Spring Season: YSL Golden Peony (#10) Golden Gloss

YSL Golden Peony (#10) Golden Gloss ($30.00 for 0.2 oz.) is a sheer clear base with gold and iridescent lilac shimmer suspended in it. On my lips, it enhances the rosy of my natural lip color just a tad while adding a ridiculous amount of bling-bling shimmer to it. You can detect an almost silver-ish lilac, and golden shimmer. Fun fact: Golden Glosses contain 0.2% of 24kt gold. What’s nice about YSL Golden Glosses is they’re non-sticky, moisturizing, and have a mango-scent. Unlike a lot of glosses, the applicator is also a brush rather than a doe-foot applicator, which may or may not be your favorite. (Luckily, I am indifferent and like both!)

The Spring Season: MAC Honeyflower Lipstick

MAC Honeyflower Lipstick

The Spring Season: MAC Honeyflower Lipstick

MAC Honeyflower Lipstick ($14.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a warmed-up, peachy brown with an almost gold sheen to it. Honeyflower has a lustre finish, so it has that slightly frosty, shimmery-sheen look to it. It is surprisingly pigmented–definitely one of the better lustre finishes I’ve tried–and goes on pretty opaque. I think this is a great shade for darker skin tones and warmer skin tones in particular.

The Spring Season: Korres #13 Natural Pink Lipstick

The Spring Season: Korres #13 Natural Pink Lipstick

Korres #13 Natural Pink Mango Butter Lipstick ($18.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a soft pink with yellow undertones that applies nearly opaque and has a glossy sheen. It’s a creamy, moisturizing formula that wears well and surprisingly long (about four hours) for a lipstick with such a creamy base. Korres Mango Butter Lipsticks do contain SPF 10, which is a nice bonus. Because the formula is so creamy, Natural Pink glides on smoothly and evenly with just one or two layers (go one for sheerer, two for opaque). There’s the slightest mango-y/sweet fruit scent, but I don’t notice it at all once it’s applied, though I personally like the scent (my favorite is vanilla, followed by a subtle fruit).
