I love High 90s Slimshine, which came out with Cool Heat. It is such a great bright coral, and I love pairing it with greens and blues. Even golds and browns can be good shades to coordinate it with! In this particular lip look, I topped the slimshine with Politely Pink lipglass, which came out awhile ago, and it is a nice shade of low-level shimmer medium-to-dark pink.

I love Rockocco; it’s just such a vibrant shade of orange-based red.  I don’t wear it often, as readers prefer bold eyes so I often lean towards those in my looks, but I wanted to wear it the other day, so I pulled it out.  I actually look quite terrible in Rockocco alone–the orange-based red does not suit my skintone/face/anything about me.  It just reminds me of “clown red,” rather than “sexy red.”  My favorite way to make a lipstick wearable is by pairing it with an unusual suspect aka gloss.  Hothouse works for me, because it’s a purple-fuchsia color, pigmented enough to change up the color of a lipstick once overlaid.

I thought I might share with you this stunning red lip combo I stumbled upon a few days ago.  Port Red lipstick + Cult of Cherry lipgloss.  Yes, yes, try it for yourselves.  You will love it!

I don’t have much NARS in my makeup stash, but what few products I have, I really enjoy. NARS’ Moon Fleet / Indian Red Lip Gloss/Lip Stain is such a pretty, ultra-glossy semi-sheer red.  The red itself is lovely in its tone - not too orange, not too blue - almost a neutral red, which is hard to come by.  The gold shimmer gloss makes a great way to give the color some shine and sparkle.  I’m warm-toned, so I find that the gold accents and works well with my skin tone, too.

Red Flame/Orange Flicker Pro Longwear Lustre Lip Colour is beyond gorgeous.  BEYOND!  This is such a rich, vibrant red.  I honestly didn’t think it would be a color I could pull off, but it’s no more bold than other popular reds like Russian Red.  Finally, a red PLW that I can wear!
