A play on Oh No They Didn’t’s “Free For All Fridays,” every Friday is Free For Haul Fridays! Friday is a day for fun — whether you’re already off enjoying your weekend or if you just need a way to get through til the end of the work day, FFH is here for you!
Share your latest beauty hauls! Once you’ve done that… say anything you’d like. Tell us about the greatest thing that happened to you this week, why your pet is the cutest, what you’re doing this weekend… whatever!
First, I’ll share mine!
I don’t think I bought anything. Let’s pretend I didn’t, OK? I can’t remember. That means either it might be true or I might have a selective memory… No, wait, I bought more Zoya nail polish remover. I was so close!
Since I spent the first half of the week sick to my stomach from a rather nasty case of food poisoning… I’m pretty much in a catch-up mood for both the blog and school. My weekend is so not going to be fun as I read about a zillion pages about law and investments and statistics. STATISTICS, the bane of my existence! The happy part of my weekend will be heading to the farmers’ market with my boyfriend on Saturday.
One recurring theme in this month’s Ask Temptalia Session was all about foundation — what’s best for what skin, how to choose the right shade, how to know what kind of undertones you have, and so on and so forth. This is pretty much everything I know about foundation, and hopefully, you’ll add your own tips and tricks in the comments to make this a great resource for the future! (You know, I fully intended for this to be a short and sweet post, but you know what they say about plans!)
Choosing foundation can be a difficult, trying, and frustrating process because everyone’s skin varies just a little bit from person to person so what works for one might not work for another–and for a whole variety of reasons–from undertones to skin types to skin concerns to personal preferences.
After reading your answers to today’s question: how do you organize your eyeshadows? I really think we need to come together and SHOW OFF. (OK, you do it, I’m still in desperate need of a depotting party!) Share your wickedly detailed spreadsheets, photos of your ultra-organized eyeshadows, bask in the awesomeness that is organized beauty!
Share your photos/spreadsheet either by linking to the image/file or you can email me directly at [email protected], and I’ll upload it and include it in the post!
My collection/stash can be found under Temptalia’s Collection. It was last updated about June 2009, I believe, so I’m about due for another update, but gotta depot first!
How do you organize your eyeshadows? By color? Finish/texture? Brand?
I organize by brand, and then I organize by color, typically. For all my MAC eyeshadows, I have it organized by color EXCEPT mattes, which I do keep separate. In the interest of saving time, I’m probably going to also organize my permanent shades separately from limited edition shades as well.
