Too Faced So Berry Sexy La Creme ($21.00 for 0.11 oz.) is described as a “fuchsia berry.” It’s a brightened berry-pink with a very subtle pink pearl shimmer. MAC Deliciously Forbidden is darker, redder. Guerlain Extrait de Rose is more shimmery and sheerer. Revlon Raspberry Pie is slightly redder/darker. MAC Speak Louder is warmer. MAC Full Fuchsia is brighter, redder.

It has an incredibly creamy consistency that feels like it’s melting against your lips as you apply it. The formula has a slickness to it, though it doesn’t bleed or feather on me. All of that creaminess means that it is also very comfortable to wear, as well as nicely hydrating from start to finish. The color payoff is fantastic with opaque color coverage. So Berry Sexy lasted five and a half hours on me, which is longer than the average lipstick (but a little short for a color like this) and a good wear for such a slick formula. It also left behind a soft stain.

Too Faced Sweetheart Beads Radiant Glow Face Powder ($32.00 for 0.80 oz.) is supposed to be “inspired by nature’s most flattering pink and golden-light at dusk … to impart a lit-from-within radiance.” When all the heart-shaped beads are swirled together, the resulting color is a warm champagne-shimmered tan with a slightly frosted, shimmery finish. Chanel Sable Beige is similar but less orange. NARS Miss Liberty is lighter. NARS Satellite of Love is very similar but has more golden shimmer/sparkle.

Based on Too Faced’s description of this product, it seems to be designed to use all-over rather than as a very targeted, specific highlighter. In practice, I don’t think it is workablef or allover, and the reason is that it emphasizes imperfections in the skin from having too much frost/pearl in the beads. I thought it was a highlighter, actually, because it appears frosted on the skin and emphasized the pores along my cheeks. I don’t think it’s flattering used allover or as a highlighter on cheeks. Though the color is supposed to be buildable, it required several layers just to get it to kind of show up on my medium complexion. The beads just don’t want to give up product, so it wasn’t as easy to apply as I had hoped. The wear is average; six hours of good wear but noticeable fading after eight hours. The texture is slightly gritty from the sparkle and shimmer, and it never fully smooths out.

Too Faced Bronzed & Poreless Pore Perfecting Bronzer ($30.00 for 0.35 oz.) is described as a “matte bronze.” It’s a medium tan with warm, orange undertones and a matte finish. Urban Decay Naked Flushed Bronzer is slightly browner. Burberry Summer Glow is warmer, darker, and satiny.

The formula is supposed to add warmth and radiance to the skin while minimizing “the appearance of pores, fine lines, and imperfections.” The texture is incredibly soft, finely-milled, and velvety. It’s so soft that it is a little powdery, so I recommend using a light touch and a soft brush with the product to minimize excess powder kick-up. The powder is effortless to apply; blends instantly and easily.  It sits beautifully on the skin and gives it a softer, smoother appearance overall; it never looks powdery, and it definitely helped to soften the [appearance of] texture of my skin.  Bronzed & Poreless wears well, too, and I had no trouble getting a nice and long nine hours of it without fading.

A Sweetheart for Your Sweet Cheeks

Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush ($29.00 for 0.19 oz.) is described as a “rose pink shimmer,” “soft coral pink,” and “peachy pink shimmer.” It’s supposed to be used altogether or with an emphasis on one or more shades for your own “custom flush or highlight.” It is touted as a baked formula, buildable in color, and appropriate for all skin tones.

The pink shade is a pop of light-medium pink with subtle cool undertones and a soft, shimmery finish. It had good color payoff, and the texture was soft though a touch dry. MAC I’m the One is cooler-toned, more magenta. MAC Pink Tea is fairly comparable. MAC Lovecloud is a touch lighter. Tarte Dollface is very similar.

The coral shade is a coral-orange with a barely-there sheen, but the color itself is low in pigment and was stiff to work with. It was odd, because the other two shades had a much better, softer texture, whereas this shade was hard. NARS Gilda is darker. MAC Modern Mandarin is more orange. Bobbi Brown Coral is a touch darker. Burberry Blossom is darker. MAC Supercontinental is similar.

The peach shade is more of a pinky-peach with a frosted shimmer-sheen finish. It had good color payoff, and it had the best texture of the there shades. Guerlain Peach Boy is less frosted.

Together, everything comes together as a soft, light-medium pink with a subtle shimmer-sheen finish. It’s a tiny bit warm-toned against my skin, but depending on your undertone and how much of the cooler pink shade you grab on your brush, it may become more neutral or cool-toned. Tarte Curious is more coral. MAC Immortal Flower is less shimmery.

I see those with light to light-medium skin tones really loving this; and if you have a medium complexion, if you like subtle, you may love it, too. Deeper complexions I think will find it lacking in pigmentation. The underlying base color doesn’t seem to read chalky or ashy, so it may still be worth a try, but I wasn’t able to build up the color at all on my cheeks beyond what you see in the photos.  I don’t usually have great luck with wear when it comes to baked products, and Sweethearts lasted a solid seven hours, which was good, but the wear did fall short of some of the better-wearing blushes I’ve come across (my average is closer to eight hours of wear).  

The blush sat well on the skin without looking powdery or emphasizing pores, so the texture translated well onto the skin.  I wish the middle shade had a better texture on its own, because I felt like it did not influence the altogether-color much as a result. You’ll need a smaller blush brush if you want to use them individually; they’re not impossibly small strips of color, but it’s more practical to use two strips at a time.

A Rosy Pink for a Perfect Transition from Winter to Spring

Too Faced Cinnamon Kiss La Creme Lipstick ($21.00 for 0.11 oz.) is described as a “spiced brown.” It’s a subdued, rosy pink with a natural sheen. There’s none of the brown that you’d expect to see in “spiced brown,” but I would say that there’s a neutral element, like a beige or brown, that darkens and mutes the rosy color overall. Guerlain Ballade is redder, less pink, shimmery. Revlon Pink Truffle is less pink and more translucent. Bobbi Brown Nude Rose is lighter. MAC Glamourdaze is redder. MAC Offshoot is less pink, darker.

Cinnamon Kiss is opaque with very little product needed for full coverage. The consistency of the lipstick is smooth, creamy, and it glides on easily without pulling or tugging on the lips during application. This particular shade wore for five hours, which is really fantastic for smoething with as much slip as La Creme has. It wasn’t too thick or too thin, so it was comfortable to wear but didn’t bunch up or create lines if I pressed my lips together (I’ve had this happen with a few other shades from the formula). It was nicely hydrating during wear, and the hydration extended beyond just the wear of the lipstick.
