Milani Mix It Up Baked Metallic Eyeshadow($7.49 for 0.05 oz.) is a blackened base with iridescent teal and silver shimmer. When used wet, it’s absolutely gorgeous–really rich and luxuriously deep in color. Used dry, less of the iridescent and sheen is visible and has a slightly powdery finish. Milani notes that these should be used dry for a softer look and wet for something more intense, which is why I think the pigmentation is as expected based on Milani’s claims.
I do wish they’d ditch the sponge/brush applicator, though, because the bristles are splayed and scratchy, while the sponge is thin and surprisingly scratchy. I did like the switch to a black interior, over the champagne gold from the Runway Eyeshadows. The lid is also quite secure, and I had to pry it open with my nails.

Milani Teal the Truth Baked Metallic Eyeshadow($7.49 for 0.05 oz.) is a medium-dark teal with soft bluish-teal shimmer. This is a teal that leans bluer, but it’s really well balanced on the edge of green and blue. In some light, it almost looks like there is more of an aqua color to it, but in other light, it seems bluer. For a color that is, essentially, just teal, it is more nuanced than it appears. It applied better wet than dry, as it applied smoother and the color was denser and more opaque.
I do wish they’d ditch the sponge/brush applicator, though, because the bristles are splayed and scratchy, while the sponge is thin and surprisingly scratchy. I did like the switch to a black interior, over the champagne gold from the Runway Eyeshadows. The lid is also quite secure, and I had to pry it open with my nails.
It's a particularly gorgeous and well-made shade when used wet, but when used dry, there are some pigmentation issues (and resulting uneven color) that resulted in a lower score.

Milani Pink Twice Baked Metallic Eyeshadow($7.49 for 0.05 oz.) is medium-dark pink with a frost finish. Milani’s Baked Metallic Eyeshadows can be used wet or dry–wet for more intensity, dry for more luminosity (which, given the context, must mean sheerer color). With Pink Twice, I found it applied about as well regardless of whether it was used wet or dry, but it did bind together a smidgen better wet so it had a smoother feel. I liked how this shade of the baked formula did not have any fall out issues, though, and the pigmentation level was nice–very true-to-pan color.

This has been the best shade I've tested from the spring shades of the baked eyeshadow so far--the pigmentation is nice, texture is smooth without fall out, and it wears well.

Milani I Heart You Baked Metallic Eyeshadow($7.49 for 0.05 oz.) is a coppery red with a shimmery, metallic finish. It looks redder in the pan than it is when swatched–there is a coppery orange that is much more pronounced when applied. It reminded me of MAC Coppering, but obviously in a baked form.

Last time I reviewed Milani eyeshadows, I found them to be so lacking that they made me rather angry. In fact, Blue My Mind resembles Blue Lagoonin the pan color, but thankfully, it’s infinitely better. I was really hesitant to try these, because I feared for the worst, but I’m glad I moved past that fear.

Milani Glamorous Gems Eyeshadow Palette ($8.99 for 0.32 oz.) includes six shades of eyeshadow, all coordinated and in thin, raised strips. They can be used wet or dry, but I found the color pay off too sheer to work with when used dry that I had to use them wet (all swatches are of them wet). I liked the colors in the palette and felt like they coordinated well with each other.
When you use them wet, the color pay off is decent for the first three shades and a little better for the bottom three shades. The palette contains a shimmery white, soft grassy green, teal-tinged forest green, pale yellow gold, softened copper, and bronze. The first three shades have a frostier finish, while the bottom three shades have more a metallic finish. They all looked more intense in the palette than when swatched, though; most of the shades looked rather muted.
My biggest issue with the palette is actually the packaging/set-up. Each strip is very thin, so it can be difficult to maneuver your brush so that you only get one color–it’s very easy to pick up whatever shade is above or below. The shadows also break down very easily, so use a light touch or else you risk crumbling.

final thoughts: If these colors popped a little more swatched as they do in the pan, I think it could be a real winner. I also wish these could be used dry–they just weren’t holding together for me when I tried to swatch (and later attempted to apply).
