Milani Glowing Strobelight Instant Glow Powder ($10.00 for 0.30 oz.) is a medium copper with a warm, golden sheen. It had opaque color payoff that applied evenly to bare skin, blended out easily, and had a high-shine finish. I found it accentuated the look of my skin’s natural texture slightly when worn at nearly full coverage. The powder had a smooth consistency that was soft but not powdery in the pan. The highlighter started to fade on me after eight hours of wear.

The formula is powder highlighter that’s supposed to have a “radiant finish” and is available in seven shades (you can view swatches of all shades here). The consistency was similar to a lot of other “gelee” highlighters: smooth, soft but more firmly pressed (where there was no powderiness but was still pigmented) with semi-opaque to opaque coverage and a frosted to a metallic finish. Some shades emphasized my skin’s natural texture slightly when worn heavily. This formula will be most suitable for someone who likes an intense, more metallic highlighter and warmer-toned shades.

Afterglow

Milani Afterglow Strobelight Instant Glow Powder ($10.00 for 0.30 oz.) is a very light peach with warm undertones and a pearly sheen. It had opaque pigmentation in a single layer, but if I used a lighter touch, I was able to get sheerer coverage that applied and blended out well. It was also forgiving enough that I could diffuse and buff out the highlighter if I felt like I applied more than I needed (or wanted). The consistency was soft enough that it was easy to pick up the product onto my brush while being firm enough that there was no powderiness in the pan. It was blendable and did not appear dry or chalky on the skin. There was a moderate sheen on the skin at medium or greater coverage that did not accentuate my skin’s texture. The highlighter stayed on well for eight hours on my skin.

Bella Bellini

Milani Bella Bellini Baked Blush ($8.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium pink with subtle, warm undertones and gold shimmer. It had buildable pigmentation from medium to mostly opaque.

The Baked Blush formula is described as “richly pigmented and highly buildable” (that’s not confusing at all, right?)–it would make more sense to say something like “buildable from sheer to full coverage.” That is more in line with how they used to describe the formula when I reviewed shades from the range last year, but they have since changed it to what I’ve included here. I’m not aware of any reformulation in the last year, I feel it’s fair to take their meaning as “highly buildable” to “richly pigmented” payoff.

The consistency was smooth, slightly dusty, but it blended out nicely on the skin and did not appear powdery once buffed and worked into the skin. The blush had a very strong sheen, which slightly emphasized my skin’s natural texture when worn at semi-opaque or higher coverage. The color started to fade noticeably after seven and a half hours of wear.

Milani Red Vino Baked Blush

Milani Red Vino Baked Powder Blush

Milani Red Vino Baked Powder Blush ($7.49 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium-dark, reddish plum with warm undertones and gold sparkle. MAC Love Thing (P, $27.00) is cooler (95% similar). NARS Goulue (P, $30.00) is cooler (95% similar). Colour Pop Drop of a Hat (LE, $8.00) is lighter, warmer (90% similar). NARS Realm of the Senses #2 (LE, $30.00) is warmer (90% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Pink Glow #5 (LE, $60.00) is more shimmery (90% similar). MAC Gleeful (P, $27.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). Chanel Rouge (LE, $45.00) is darker (85% similar). Sleek MakeUP Pomegranate (P, $6.99) is more shimmery, cooler (85% similar). IT Cosmetics Radiant in Rose (P, $24.00) is cooler (85% similar). Clinique Cola Pop (P, $21.00) is less shimmery, darker (85% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

The Baked Blush formula is supposed to be “buildable from sheer to vibrant” paired with a “silky” texture. Red Vino had larger, more noticeable sparkle than a lot of the blushes I’ve tried in the range. The texture was thinner, a little drier, and was harder to work with, though it blended out more easily than I expected after swatching. It had buildable coverage from semi-sheer to mostly opaque. There were some noticeable sparkles on the skin, but it was more of a satin sheen overall, once blended in. This shade wore for seven and a half hours on me before fading.

Milani Corallina Baked Blush

Milani Corallina Baked Powder Blush
Milani Corallina Baked Powder Blush

Milani Corallina Baked Powder Blush ($7.49 for 0.12 oz.) is a bright, medium coral-orange with gold shimmer. NARS Me First (LE, $30.00) is warmer (90% similar). NYX Menage a Trois (P, $15.00) is more shimmery (90% similar). Makeup Geek Romance (DC, $9.99) is lighter, cooler (90% similar). MAC Stereo Rose (LE, $33.00) is cooler (90% similar). NYX Rose Gold (P, $6.50) is lighter (90% similar). Bobbi Brown Coral (P, $25.00) is less shimmery, darker (85% similar). Stila Peach Shimmer (LE, ) is cooler (85% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

The Baked Blush formula is supposed to be “buildable from sheer to vibrant” paired with a “silky” texture. Corallina has a soft, smooth consistency that is a little dusty but not really powdery or dry. The color blended out easily on the skin, and the shimmer wasn’t too large, so it didn’t emphasize pores and gave off a very luminous sheen. It had semi-sheer to opaque coverage, as described, and it was forgiving, as you could sheer it out or intensify it without it looking caked on or becoming splotchy. The blush wore for seven hours on me before fading slightly.
