Maybelline Coral Craze, Pink Pizazz, Fab & Fuchsia, Berry Chic Baby Gloss Lipglosses

These are the last four Maybelline Baby Lips Lipglosses ($4.49 for 0.18 fl. oz.), and all four have a jelly finish. The gloss is a new formula that’s supposed to be shiny, non-sticky, and hydrating for four hours with twelve shades divided into three finishes. These all looked similar applied, so from a color standpoint, it’s unnecessary to have them all. The jelly finished shades have a slightly thicker texture to them, though they feel very similar once you apply to the lips. The formula feels lightweight, mostly non-sticky (a very slight tackiness develops after two to three hours of wear), wears for one to three hours, and is comfortable and hydrating. There is a sweet, fruity-floral scent that tastes like perfume-y soap during the entire length of wear; I could taste it just talking to someone, and it ruined anything I ate or drank. They were comfortable to wear, though, and they don’t feel heavy and keep and maintain hydration going for an hour or two after most of the gloss has worn away. The formula is sheer (as it is supposed to be) with a lot of shades looking the same once applied, but they may vary wildly from person to person due to much of it being dependent on your natural lip color.

Maybelline Taupe With Me, Pink-a-boo, Life’s a Peach, Tickled Pink Baby Gloss Lipglosses

These next four Maybelline Baby Lips Lipglosses ($4.49 for 0.18 fl. oz.) are of the cream finish. The gloss is a new formula that’s supposed to be shiny, non-sticky, and hydrating for four hours with twelve shades divided into three finishes. The cream finish doesn’t go on quite as evenly and can pull into lip lines slightly, but the gloss is fairly thin so this isn’t too noticeable. Maybelline Rich Ruby, All Fired Up, Pink Sugar Creamy Matte Lip Colors

Maybelline Rich Ruby ColorSensational Creamy Matte Lip Color ($7.99 for 0.15 oz.) is a slightly muted, medium-dark red with cool, blue undertones and a satin finish. It had good pigmentation that covered the lips for the most part, but there is a very light translucency to it overall. The texture was lightweight, velvety, and smooth and applied evenly to the lips. It was really comfortable to wear and wasn’t drying over the six hours it lasted, and I didn’t experience feathering or bleeding either. Clinique Cherry Pop (P, $18.00) is lighter. NARS Deadly Catch (LE, $26.00) is warmer. MAC Frank-n-furter (LE, $16.00) is darker. Kat Von D Hexagram (P, $21.00) is lighter, less glossy. Chanel La Desiree (327) (LE, $34.00) is darker. NYX Chic Red (P, $4.00) is darker. MAC Ronnie Red (LE, $16.00) is brighter. MAC MAC Red (P, $16.00) is cooler. Colour Pop Creeper (P, $6.00) is lighter, less glossy. MAC Charlotte (LE, $16.00) is lighter, cooler. Besame Besame Red 1920 (P, $22.00) is lighter, brighter, warmer. Besame American Beauty 1945 (P, $22.00) is lighter, brighter, glossier. MAC Stunner (LE, $16.00) is lighter, warmer. Anastasia American Doll (P, $20.00) is lighter, less glossy. MAC Kinky (LE, $16.00) is lighter, warmer. Maybelline Just a Glimmer, A Wink of Pink, Fuchsia Flicker, Lilac Lumi Baby Gloss Lipglosses

Maybelline Baby Lips Lipgloss ($4.49 for 0.18 fl. oz.) is a new formula that’s supposed to be shiny, non-sticky, and hydrating for four hours with twelve shades divided into three finishes. I’m reviewing them based on finish, so this post features the four shimmery shades. They’re lightweight, mostly non-sticky (a very slight tackiness develops after two to three hours of wear), wear for one to three hours, and are comfortable and hydrating. The formula has a sweet, fruity-floral scent that tastes like perfume-y soap during the entire length of wear; I could taste it just talking to someone, and it ruined anything I ate or drank. The shimmer in these shades is noticeable in texture, though they are fine enough not to feel particularly gritty, but the thinner consistency made them apparent on the lips. They were comfortable to wear, though, and they don’t feel heavy and keep and maintain hydration going for an hour or two after most of the gloss has worn away. The formula is sheer with a lot of shades looking the same once applied, but they may vary wildly from person to person due to much of it being dependent on your natural lip color.

Maybelline Burgundy Blush, Nude Nuance, Clay Crush Creamy Matte Lip Colors

Maybelline Burgundy Blush ColorSensational Creamy Matte Lip Color ($7.99 for 0.15 oz.) is a medium-dark, reddish burgundy with warm, brown undertones and a satin finish. It had semi-opaque color payoff that went on evenly but had a slightly drier consistency compared to most of the range. The texture was lightweight and slightly drying over time, but I only felt the drying quality kick in after four hours of wear, while the color lasted for closer to six in all. MAC Extended Play (DC, $18.00) is warmer. NARS Amsterdam (P, $26.00) is more muted. MAC Diva (P, $16.00) is lighter, brighter. MAC Deeply Adored (LE, $16.00) is lighter, brighter. MAC Runner (LE, $16.00) is darker. Tom Ford Beauty Velvet Cherry (08) (P, $50.00) is lighter, brighter. MAC Hearts Aflame (LE, $16.00) is lighter, warmer. MAC Studded Kiss (P, $16.00) is lighter. NARS 413 BLKR (LE, $26.00) is lighter. MAC Fixed on Drama (LE, $16.00) is darker, cooler. Maybelline Divine Wine (P, $7.99) is lighter, brighter, warmer. Colour Pop Avenue (P, $6.00) is lighter, less glossy. Colour Pop Tulle (P, $6.00) is darker, brighter, warmer, glossier. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.
