LUSH always has a lot to offer for the holiday season! Last week, I mentioned how great their all wrapped up holiday gifts were, because they were filled with awesome products and easy to give (and receive!). Now, let me tell you about just a few of my favorites that they’re offering this year that you can buy one at a time… or you know, ten at a time You’ll notice the price points for most of the products are under $10 and dominated by bubble bars and bombs. These kind of lend themselves to the stocking stuffers category (guess what everyone I know is getting?!), but they’re also easy gifts to give to casual friends.
I picked up A Gold Star Bubble Bar, Holiday Bubble Bar (so pretty!), LUSH Pud Bath Bomb (x2), Snow Fairy Shower Gel, Snowcake Soap (x2), and Let Them Eat Cake Lip Balm. But I’m pretty sure I’ll be going back for more soon enough! My only disappointment with their holiday offerings is their Jingle Jelly didn’t make a reappearance. I really LOVED that scent. Smelled exactly like Christmas to me.
- Holiday Bubble Bars/Bombs: A Gold Star Bubble Bar ($6.25), Candy Cane Bubble Bar ($6.95), Chocolate Santa Bath Bomb ($6.95), Christmas Kisses Bubble Bar ($6.95), Christmas Morning Bubble Bar ($5.95), Christmas Party Bath Bomb ($5.95), Frothy the Snowman Bubble Bar ($5.95), Holiday Bubble Bar ($6.95), Humango Bath Bomb ($14.95), LUSH Pud Bath Bomb ($5.50), Magic Bath Bomb ($6.95), Marzibain Bubble Bar ($5.95), Mr. Butterball Bath Bomb ($3.95), Snowdrops Bath Bomb ($6.25), Twinkle Star Bath Bomb ($5.75)

LUSH Rub Rub Rub & Yummy Yummy Yummy ($8.95 to $23.95) are two shower gels that recently came out. Rub Rub Rub’s scent can be compared to Lush’s Sakura bath bomb (which is a fresh, spring-blossom-day kind of scent). RRR is not just a shower gel, but more of shower gel meets shower scrub. It’s not a full-on shower scrub (it’s just not gritty enough), but the sea salt in it helps make this gel give you softer, smoother skin. I actually like that it’s got the lather of a shower gel, but some of the grit of a scrub, because I can still use my bath poof to lather up and get some extra exfoliation in.
Yummy Yummy Yummy is comprised mostly of strawberries, honey, and almond oil. I definitely can sense the strawberries in the product, but I wasn’t as impressed with the actual product. It is runnier than Lush’s other shower gels (and I’ve tried several!), and it doesn’t lather up as nicely as their other ones, either. I have seen some murmurings about the product separating, but I’ve had mine for over a month with no separation whatsoever. So as a shower gel, you’re better off with one like Flying Fox, but I found a better use for it–my hair. If you want a touch of strawberry smoothie scent in your hair, just shampoo your hair a little with this instead!
LUSH knows how to make gift giving so easy. First, I adore, adore, ADORE Lush products. I especially love the holiday season, because I can easily put these on my Christmas list, but there are so many to choose from, I can find one to suit all the recipients on my list, too. Of course, I do have a tendency to put more for me than others in my cart… Here are just five lovely gifts to give and receive–but be sure to head over to LUSH and check out their eighteen different boxed sets!

Today LUSH, the purveyors of fresh handmade cosmetics, launches a new online contest giving shoppers the chance to win a $1000 LUSH gift card. The online scavenger hunt launches today on www.lushusa.com/scavengerhunt at 12pm (PST) and runs until November 15th, 2008.
The scavenger hunt consists of daily challenges that will require contestants to explore LUSH’s cyber world of fresh and natural ingredients, eco-friendly options, and new site enhancements and design. New challenges will be posted every weekday at 12pm during the duration of the contest. To participate, each contestant must complete an entry form and submit the URL from the LUSH contest page containing the correct response. Each contestant can only submit one entry per challenge, however they can earn up to 10 extra entries for referring the scavenger hunt to friends and family. Winners will be contacted by email or phone and will be announced on the contest page by November 21, 2008.
In honor of World Vegan Day, which is today (November 1st), 824 LUSH employees from North America will go vegan to support their vegan customers. 76% of LUSH products are suitable for vegan and labeled so. If you head down to your local LUSH today (and I’m actually making a little detour there today), you might see shop assistants dressed up as giant vegetables. Other stores will have vegan samples available for customers to try.
“LUSH has always attracted people looking for a workplace that doesn’t clash with their ethical life choices, so we have a high number of vegetarians, vegans and environmentalists working here and we see a huge number of ethical customers coming through our doors every day,” says Brandi Halls, LUSH’s (vegan) Communications Manager. “It is great that our work colleagues are willing to join us for a day of being vegan. By walking a mile in a vegan’s (non-leather) shoes, LUSH employees will get a great insight into what veganism is all about.”
Do we have any vegan readers? How does being vegan change your beauty habits?
