When you’re doing your holiday shopping, one thing to look out for are gift with purchase opportunities! I’m not always a fan of GWPs/PWPs for myself, but I think they are awesome gifts to give! With a $36 Lancome purchase, you can pick up this humongous gift set for $49.50.

Lancome’s Oscillation Mascara ($34.00) was available for one-day for early purchase back in July. My curiousity was piqued enough for me to shell out the big bucks and pick one up from my local Lancome Boutique. I’ve been using it on and off since then, trying to decide whether I love it or just like it. Some days, I love it, and other days, it’s not a bad mascara, but it doesn’t give me the volume I want.

Here are the requirements in my holy grail mascara:

  • Thickens lashes without clumping
  • Lengthens lashes to false lashes’ length or BEYOND!
  • Blackest of black color
  • Doesn’t flake or smudge during the day
  • Easy to use on both upper and lower lashes

How does Lancome’s Oscillation measure up? Continue reading →

WWD reports Lancome will launch a new lipstick called L’Absolu Rouge, from their Rouge Absolu line, in September. The lipstick will be the first to contain Pro-Xylane, an antiaging molecule panted by the brand’s parent (L’Oreal). The entire line will have 36 shades, each with SPF 12. The US will see 15 shades launching this fall, each retailing at $29.

So, anti-aging properties in lipsticks — is it your cup of tea? Lancome isn’t the first brand to do it, as higher luxury brands like Cle de Peau already work that angle. I have to say, $29 is steep for a lipstick when it comes to my budget. I also am skeptical about just how much treatment my lips need – I mean, I’m more concerned about the wrinkles around my lips than the ones on them!

Several weeks ago, I told you all about the upcoming trend of movin’ mascaras from Estee Lauder’s TurboLash to Lancome’s Oscillation. So in that spirit, while Lancome’s isn’t officially due out until winter, you can get it for one day only — tomorrow, July 31st, at the following locations…

  • Online: www.lancome-usa.com, and www.sephora.com
  • Atlanta: Macy’s at the Lenox Square Mall
  • Brea: The Lancome Boutique at the Brea Mall
  • Costa Mesa: Nordstrom at South Coast Plaza
  • Chicago: Macy’s on State Street and Bon-Ton at the Yorktown Mall
  • Dallas: Dillard’s and the Lancome Boutique at NorthPark Center
  • Houston: Neiman Marcus at the Galleria
  • Miami: Macy’s at the Dadeland Mall
  • Manhattan: Bergdorf Goodman, Bloomingdale’s 59th Street, Lord & Taylor, Macy’s Herald Square and the Lancome boutique on Columbus Avenue
  • San Francisco: Macy’s Union Square
  • Santa Clara: The Lancome Boutique at the Valley Fair Mall
  • Short Hills: The Lancome Boutique at the Short Hills Mall

Are you intrigued by this mascara? Will you run out to get yours?

I think I might pick one up, since the Lancome Boutique is right across the way from MAC (where I’mfinally getting my Starflash/Lustretwins stuff!).

The “star product” for Lancome’s Maharani Jewels collection for fall (already out) is their Poudre Elephant Teint, which is meant to be used as a bronzer. When I swatched it, it went on as a very peachy kind of color with lots of gold sheen and a few gold flecks. I imagine the peachiness is what I got from the elephant’s body, which is an orangey color. I have yet to try this on my face in an actual look, but it is gorgeous when swatched. At $36, this limited edition compact is actually attainable. Many of the star products with such prettythings imprinted and emblazoned tend to be upwards of $50, but Lancome did it right this time! I’m really loving the way it swatches, so I’m hoping it’ll work nicely on my cheeks. I see myself using it to create glowy cheeks rather than as a bronzer. I feel like the shimmer is a bit much for a bronzer (I prefer mine semi-matte or matte).

Have you tried this? Are you interested in it?
