Dior Aventure (081) & Cosmos (281) Diorshow Fusion Mono Eyeshadows

Dior Diorshow Fusion Mono Eyeshadows ($30.00 for 0.22 oz.) were recently released, and they come in a total of eight shades. The new Diorshow Fusion Mono Eyeshadow formula is supposed to have a mousse-gel texture “that easily glides onto lids and sets with a mirror-shine effect.” It is supposed to have “vivid, multidiemsnional color and luminous finish.” The formula also provides for a “three-in-one makeup look,” which means it can be applied softly when used with a finger, more intensely when applied with a brush, and then used with a liner brush as an eyeliner (so says the press release). I bought four initially and have been working with them over the past week, and on Friday, I received the remaining four, so I hope to have reviews for all of them available soon.

Dior Destin (382) & Galaxie (992) Vernis Nail Enamels

Dior Destin (382) Vernis Nail Enamel ($24.00 for 0.33 fl. oz.) is a metallic, warm-toned taupe. It’s a warm, gray-ish brown with threads of white metallic shimmer. To that end, there are visible brush strokes. The color itself was opaque after two coats, and the consistency wasn’t too thick or too thin. Dior’s wider brush did help minimize the brush strokes and how wonky they may have looked with a skinnier brush. Both Rescue Beauty Lounge Be Humble and Cult Nails Let’s Get Dirty are lighter, less brown, less metallic. See comparison swatches.

Dior Constellation (864) Eyeshadow Palette

Dior Constellation (864) Eyeshadow Palette ($61.00 for 0.21 oz.) is a purple-themed palette that consists of five eyeshadows with star patterns on four of the five shades. It’s part of the fall collection, Mystic Metallics, and is limited edition and exclusive to Nordstrom.  Overall, the palette was fairly good, with the center shade (the pink one) being the “worst” performer as just a so-so eyeshadow, as the color payoff was sheerer.  If you like your purples slightly warmer, this might be a palette that will interest you.  My favorite shade was #1 (upper left corner), as it’s a shade that isn’t readily duped, and it’s a versatile color.  I wore #3 on the inner third of the lid, #2 in the middle of lid, #4 on the outer lid, #1 in the crease and above the crease, and #5 directly in the crease.  All five eyeshadows lasted eight hours well (no primer), and there was only some slight fading after nine hours.

Dior Bonne Etoile (384) Eyeshadow Palette REview, Photos, Swatches

Dior Bonne Etoile (384) Eyeshadow Palette ($61.00 for 0.21 oz.) consists of five eyeshadows with star patterns on four of the five shades. It’s part of the fall collection, Mystic Metallics, and is limited edition. Right now, Nordstrom still has it available, but it is on backorder (I bought mine at Nordstrom). It’s a very nice palette overall with good color payoff across all five shades, and those that seemed good (but not perfect) were buildable on the lid. I really had no trouble applying this, and over bare skin (no primer), they lasted a full eight hours. I saw minor fading after nine hours, and if you normally wear your eyeshadow with a primer, I think you’d be fine for truly all-day wear.
