I like the bronzy-ness of her eyelids!

Makeup How-to

“This was Carey’s first Oscars so I wanted to make sure she looked age appropriate but still embrace the glamour of the night. Carey’s dress was edgy and elegant so I wanted to keep her makeup looking fresh and youthful. I wanted to enhance the natural beauty of her skin so I used La Mer foundation lightly powdered with La Mer’s translucent powder over that. For her eyes, I used Chanel soft beige and pink shadows from their spice palette. I used MAC’s black track eye liner followed by YSL’s Faux Cils mascara in black. To finish off her eyes I sharpened up her eyebrows with Laura Mercier’s soft blonde brow powder duo. For her cheeks, I wanted to give them a pinched cheek look with Dior’s glowing color powder blush in fruit de la passion. For the finishing touch on her skin, I used Bobbi Brown bronzing powder in medium. And finally on her lips I used Dior addict lip polish 004. I used La Mer body creme on the way out the door to give her body the same glow.” — Georgie Eisdell

  3. leinti nti says:

love everything (especially the contrast between the black dress and the blonde hair) but the earrings! too long. make up is great also; it really suits her modern look

  4. DonnaN says:

very fun dress! I don’t know if I like her as a blond or not?

  5. nmnikki says:

omfg, LOVE her shoes!! but her hair is terrible, it makes her look like the mother from the partridge family :-(

  6. Kim L says:

Her face is adorable, but the earrings are too heavy and the dress is too heavy in color

  7. AnGeLwInGz says:

She looks cute but the earrings are a bit too much for her petite face and elaborate dress.

  8. Lorna says:

i think she looks better as a brunette

  9. Evelyn says:

ooo I want her earrings! :)

  10. Caitlin says:

I kind of wish the dress was long in front…I think it might just be the hem that I don’t like…I really love the top of the dress though

  11. Dana says:

I like her dress, it’s really different. I sort of wish it had a little different hemline. It feels like it wants to be short and is trying to be long or wants to be long and is trying to be short. Her makeup is classic.

  12. gashwin says:

what a cute little boy. now stop playing in your mom’s clothes.

  13. Sara says:

she looks absolutely amazing. i love everything about this except her earrings, they look like they’re going to pull her ears off! her hair could go one or two shades darker, also. but all in all she looks stunning

  14. Stacia says:

Perfect from head to toe..love the shoes!

  15. Heather says:

I have no idea who this is, but I’m really liking her whole look.

  16. charlieee says:

    She looks adorable!

  17. Hilana says:

My absolute favourite look. Young and edgy. And yes, I LOVE the hair. I have never been a long hair girl,( Ijust don’t get it. It’s messy and hot and takes work) so this is so pretty. Not loving the colour that much. I think a very light platinum blonde would have been gorgeous. But she looks beautiful.

  18. Kalee says:

i wish her hairstylist couldve put a little but of product in her hair and messed it up a bit to give it more texture.

  19. Ember says:

I love that her make-up is so simple with everything else going on (dress, shoes, earrings), but maybe a shade darker lipstick would have made her face less washed out.

  20. SarahBree says:

Such a doll! Adore the dress–cute little forks and knives all over! Suits her youth perfectly. Well done!

  21. amelia says:

i have a girl crush on C.M. her blond was weird like a week ago but obviously they fixed it and now it looks great <3

  22. Andreea says:

Perfect, if she would not have gone so blonde… it is a hint too light for her skin.

  23. Sophie says:

I just love her earrings ! Who created them ? Are they new or antique ?

  24. Ceriene says:

She’s so pretty! I have no idea who she is, but she really looks fab.

Combined with those shoes though, the dress is getting a little heavy for me.

  25. engel says:

Her dress is to heavy for her. like the make up.

  26. JoElla says:

    Simply beautiful. Well done!

  27. Aimee says:

I liked her best in 2006 or 2007 or so, with long waves that were blonde and brown lowlights. It was lovely.

  28. Michelle says:

That perfect skin – - – amazing! Subtle and pretty makeup!
