Bobbi Brown x L'Wren Scott Amnesia Rose Collection for Spring 2014
Bobbi Brown x L’Wren Scott Amnesia Rose Collection for Spring 2014

Following Bobbi Brown’s London Fashion Week debut at L’Wren Scott’s Fall 2013 runway show, the makeup maven and fashion icon have teamed up for their first off-therunway collaboration. Inspired by the amnesia roses grown by L’Wren at her Loire Valley chateau, the limited edition Amnesia Rose Collection will be unveiled at L’Wren’s Spring 2014 Fashion Show during London Fashion Week.

Lip Color ($28.00) (Limited Edition)

Bobbi’s classic soft-matte lipstick, now in four chic shades that take their cue from the tonal hues of the amnesia rose. Neutrals—Heather Mauve and Cosmic Lily—and statement-making Wine and Vintage Red are showcased in pale mauve chrome cases. Infused with Vitamins E and C as well as Beeswax, the formula moisturizes and comforts lips.

  • Cosmic Lily
  • Wine
  • Heather Mauve
  • Vintage Red

Amnesia Rose Palette ($68.00) (Limited Edition)

Featuring an impressionistic sketch of L’Wren Scott, this palette opens to reveal choices for eyes, lips and cheeks in cool mauves, heathers and lilacs, accented with bright violet and mulberry shades, some of which were inspired by L’Wren’s amnesia rose garden and the colors in her spring show.

  • Amnesia Rose Eye Shadow
  • Silver Lilac Sparkle Eye Shadow
  • Pink Lilac Sparkle Eye Shadow
  • Iron Eye Shadow
  • Ultra Violet Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow
  • Mulberry Eye Shadow
  • Desert Rose Pot Rouge
  • Sand Pink Blush

Long-Wear Eye Pencil ($24.00)

Richly pigmented liner glides on smoothly for precise definition that lasts all day, so there’s no need to worry about smudging or smearing. The charcoal gray shade is the perfect complement to the dusky purples and mauves of the collection. Includes a complimentary sharpener.

  • Smoke

Smokey Eye Mascara ($28.00)

This kohl-pigmented mascara delivers high drama thanks to its ability to build volume lash by lash—as opposed to traditional volumizing formulas that create the appearance of volume by clumping lashes together. A thicker brush base evenly combs through eyelashes from roots to ends, while a tapered tip grabs those small, hard-to-reach lashes. The result is dramatically dark, stretched-out lashes in an instant. Available in Black.

Available: February 2014 at Bobbi Brown Cosmetics Counters at Barneys, Bergdorf, Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Saks, Holt, and at

  1. I had never heard of Amnesia roses before, what a weird name for a flower! The collection seems to stick to its tenuous theme only sporadically, though…

I love the look of the pallet especially in the promo photos, but normally with Bobbi Brown the actual product has shifted colour to several shades warmer. If this is actually cool to neutral for a change then I will buy it in a heat beat, but I’ve been disappointed too many times to get really excited.

I love it when BB comes out with COLOR! The last few palettes were too pale for my taste. This looks amazing! Too bad I’m on a ‘no buy’ right now. Maybe this would be a nice Valentine’s gift! Thanks for sharing.

  5. Looks good! I love the drawing :-)

  6. Jen

Oh wow, that palette looks stunning!

  7. I initially thought that I would have loved that palette, but I know I wouldn’t use the colors on the right side. Some of the lipsticks look really great, though!

  8. That palette looks gorgeous!! Although I’m not a huge fan of creme and powder products being next to each other in palettes…. I can’t wait to see swatches!

  9. I like the drawing they’ve used for the packaging!

  11. Very cute collection Bobbi Brown!! I don’t usually shop for her cosmetics but this is just too cute! I’m really digging the palette and pink lippie. I think I want both lol

That palette and the lavender shade of lipstick look gorgeous! Can’t wait to see swatches.

  13. I love the look of the Amnesia Rose palette! It’s nice to see Bobbi finally changing things up a bit – I feel like the shade range in her last several collections were getting a little tiresome. I’m looking forward to seeing your swatches!

The colours in the palette look gorgeous and the packaging is very pretty. I just really dislike when a palettes consists of both cream and powder products, with nothing to separate them. It just gets so messy. That’s a deal breaker for me. :(

I’m liking the lipsticks and the palette looks so pretty, but the last few BB palettes that I’ve swatched have had no pigmentation and been patchy.

  16. I see PURPLE! So many gorgeous looking purple things coming out lately, I’m in heaven! (well, a sort of wistful, window-shopping only heaven, but I’l take it!!)

I’m really interested to see how these turn out!

  17. Doesn’t look like your typical BBrown offering I find very refreshing.. and for people looking for a cool neutral palette, this looks like a distinct possibility. Hope the quality is there.

  18. Nina

Christine, will you please please please get and swatch? Thanks. :) I agree with the reviewer that finds most of her items shift toward the warm…..hope these have a true cool undertone. Especially the Cosmic Lily lipstick. Hoping!

  19. Damn, I so need that palette. Okay, maybe I don’t need but I’m so getting it. Gorgeous!! I mean, woah!!

  20. Bonnie

These colors are gorgeous! Especially love the Amnesia Rose shadow. I’m not a big fan of BB’s sparkle shadows, but willing to give the palette a whirl. Must have the Cosmic Lily & Heather Mauve lipsticks. Very exciting, thanks so much for the preview!!

I got the Amnesia Rose palette this weekend from the Bobbi Brown store in Grand Central. It’s so super pretty in person! I posted some swatches to the Sephora Swatch Board.

Quality wise, the blush and pot rouge are great, smooth, and pigmented. The right hand eyeshadows (Iron, Ultra Violet, Mulberry) swatch patchy and sheer, but work a little better on the eye. The shimmery bright orchid shade (Ultra Violet) was hardest to get to show up, and once it did, it didn’t look shimmery at all, just matte like the rest. The left hand shadows swatch nicely, although the 2 sparkle shadows look practically the same and were finicky to work with on my eyelid, even over a primer. I actually like that everything else looks matte, and then I can add shimmer where I want to with the sparkle shadows.

Overall, I’m not convinced that this palette was worth the splurge. Definitely check it out in person though, it’s really pretty to look at.

Thanks for posting which stores will be carrying his. When I emailed BB, they didn’t seem to want to divulge that info. They said that it will prob be offered on their site. No worries. Ive already ordered this one. It is the first palette of BB that Ive actually wanted to purchase since I don’t remember when! Im excited for this one!!

  23. This collection looks so pretty, would love to get my hands on the purple lipstick!
Does anyone know when the collection will hit the UK ?

  24. shelley

I will not be getting the beautiful palette as a few of the shades resemble my MAC Archie palette and the rest I found to have in LE palettes I have from Bobbi Brown. The glitter/shimmer shades are hard to work with IMO so its best to work with a sticky base. But the lippies….I will be definitely grabbing a few of those.

  25. That palette looks gorgeous! Especially for someone like me with green eyes, I think those shades would make them really pop! They look dramatic but wearable at the same time. I haven’t tried any BB yet but this may have to be in my possession!!
