Bobbi Brown Pink Gold Rich Color Lipgloss
Bobbi Brown Pink Gold Rich Color Lipgloss
Bobbi Brown Pink Gold Rich Color Lipgloss ($23.00 for 0.24 fl. oz.) is described as a “soft pink with gold pearl.” It’s a light pink with more shimmer than color–and lots of pale gold, beige, and gold shimmer paired with a high gloss sheen. It’s a lot like other peach/pink and gold shimmered glosses, including Hourglass Imagine, Cle de Peau #2, NARS Orgasm, NARS Super Orgasm, Chanel Bonbon, and Chanel Pin-up — though Bobbi Brown’s is decidedly pinker.
Bobbi Brown describes this formulas as having “the full color coverage of a lipstick” but with “The shine of a gloss.” It’s also supposed to “moisturize, condition, and last throughout the day without feathering.” The coverage is semi-opaque, mostly due to the high shimmer content rather than a lot of color in the gloss base itself, but it’s definitely not full coverage. It has a thin-like consistency that spreads evenly and easily, so it’s not too thin, but it’s not thick at all. The texture is non-sticky and only somewhat balm-like–it has more slip than your average balm. I was able to wear Rose Gold for three hours before it needed a touch-up, and afterward, my lips still felt hydrated. Like the brand’s other glosses, it is mint-scented.
Where to Buy: Bobbi Brown, $23
The Glossover
It's a gorgeous gloss, just not as opaque as the brand describes it as, so if you don't mind that, it's totally worth a look. It should be stunning layered over deeper lipsticks, especially reds and berries.

Product & Review FAQ
Where can I purchase it? How much is it?
Bobbi Brown, $23.
Is it limited edition?
No.
Any dupes?
It's a lot like other peach/pink and gold shimmered glosses, including Hourglass Imagine, Cle de Peau #2, NARS Orgasm, NARS Super Orgasm, Chanel Bonbon, and Chanel Pin-up -- though Bobbi Brown's is decidedly pinker.
I was excited about the arrival of new shades in BB rich color gloss, since I love it in the Buff and desert rose shades, they complement my lips natural pinkness nicely and naturally. Well, I bought the new sorbet color which, like my other 2 shades, has no shimmer. Took it home, tried it once. Not the same. Gave it to my teen, who just started wearing make up, She loves it. Didnt give her the new wild rose shimmerbrick though. Thats a keeper.
Oh no, this is making me regret giving up cosmetics for Lent. XD It's such a pretty color on, and I agree it would look amazing layered. At least it's not limited edition.
I will be getting this gloss very soon...i luv it! Christine, what is on your cheeks? It's gorgeous!
Hi Christine, This looks lovely on you. I can't wait to see how this compares to nars orgasm on my lips. Do you happen to remember what you were wearing on your cheeks?
Hmm. Not opaque, but still definitely pretty! :P I'm a bit ridiculous about peachy-pinks with gold shimmer - they always, always manage to grab my attention, but I hate wearing shimmer in general (and these are no exception!) >.<
Yes, it's similar to all of those peach-pink glosses, though this is pinker. :) You get a lot of product with BB's glosses compared to a lot of other brands!
that is true! a glossimer or a BB gloss is cheaper per ounce than some "cheaper" glosses. it's very pretty on you christine!
