Bobbi Brown Electric Violet High Shimmer Lipgloss
Bobbi Brown Electric Violet High Shimmer Lipgloss ($23.00 for 0.24 fl. oz.) is described as a “pink with violet pearl.” It’s a semi-opaque medium-dark pink with fuchsia-pink shimmer and a glossy shine. It’s a little cooler-toned (more fuchsia) compared to MAC Dare to Dare, so MAC If It’s Pink comes a bit closer but still pinker. MAC Totally Bang is also similar but darker.
I’m a big fan of Bobbi Brown’s newest gloss; it took me a bit surprise, much as my appreciation for Chanel Glossimers happened over time, but these are my latest go-to when I want something super sparkling to wear alone or over a lipstick. It’s a non-sticky formula that moisturizes, wears for four hours or so, and looks like shimmering water when worn. I love that the shimmer isn’t gritty–you won’t feel rough glitter/shimmer as the gloss wears off at all–and it doesn’t turn tacky over time either. Electric Violet is really lovely over a red, especially blue-based ones.

| It's a versatile shade of pink, because it's wearable on its own, but it's sheer (but still pigmented enough to alter colors!) enough to allow a lipstick to show through. The sparkle/shine factor of these lipglosses is outrageous, which is why I love them so much! | |

Its pretty and all, but totally underwhelming compared to the previous post..
LOL!
What a great color! Are these glosses scented?
Mint scented!
What a gorgeous color! I love bright pinks, this looks like a great way to wear the color sheer!
Good timing! I was just looking at these and trying to decide what color to get! I’d heard they weren’t very pigmented, which is fine, but I want it to at least show up. This one seems perfect, just the amount of pigmentation for a MLBB/brightening look~. And such a pretty shimmer too!
Ps. Congrats
Thank you!!
Yes, some of them are very, very sheer (like Bare), but others are more pigmented!
I actually bought this a couple weeks ago and instantly fell in love super gorgeous!
The formula is TDF!
Its a gorgeous shade Christine..looking lovely on you!!
Thanks, Kimi!
Great color! But shouldn’t you be celebrating your engagement and Christmas Eve!? (:
I am/was!
Still have time to handle the rest of things, lol!
this has no pigmentation!
It’s not opaque, but it’s definitely not zero pigmentation! These aren’t supposed to be opaque, just FYI!
Will be getting this soon!! Christine, what are you wearing on your cheeks?
I can’t remember!
i want!
I have this gloss in pink sequin…it’s so pretty with my olive skin tone.
I went out bought two High shimmer glosses. I bought bellini and bare sparkle. I want the electric violet and two other glosses. I can already image this gloss over a fushia or fushia/violet lipstick like Sephora’s rouge cream in #10(Mr. Lover).
